It is always fun to see dinosaurs eat people. I like the chase scenes and the “stay in the car” scenes. Even the consumption of a satellite phone can be fun. But you can only dumb things down so much before losing any plausibility. In a mediocre movie, you root for the creature to eat the dumb person that walks up to it and says, “Aren’t you just the cutest thing?” In this one, the characters are not worth eating. The storyline and execution are so incredible that it does not matter that there are transparent to the viewer from the start. They should have gone ahead and made it campy.The basic story is paleontologists would not set foot on the island of ancient creatures. Mysterious couple with lots of cash just wants him to point out the highlights from the air (yeah sure).One item in the plus is Sam Neil has more than one expression.

Simply stated, JURASSIC PARK III is much better on disc from the two showings I saw in the theatre. For one thing the images are much sharper and crisp than seen on the silver screen. This alone makes it worth having on disc. Also, and probably more important JURASSIC PARK III is a good film. It’s quite a change of pace from its two predecessors. It takes getting used to. There is actually a much more solid plot line and even character development evident from when I first saw it. The film moves at a fast pace or so it appears that it may gloss over you if you were expecting something different. I would have to say that I really enjoyed this movie on disc. It looks and sounds great. Good action and suspense all around.

The details are outstanding in the Blu-ray version. Various scenes illustrate the clarity and quality of this product..FACIAL CLOSEUPS: You can visually see the hair studs, moles, forehead lines, and sweat of the actors. Dr. Alan Grant has a pimple on his right cheek with one or two short hair stubbles surrounding it..WATER POOL: Trees, bushes, and shrubs are reflected in the water with small waves disturbing and distorting the color images. You can also see the varied colored stones under the shallow water..DIGGING SCENE: Dust and individual sand particles with their various shades and tones are on the ground. Blown by the oncoming helicopter, they stuck on the shirts and jeans of the actors..THE MULTI-MILLIONAIRE: The individual hairs on his white beard are displayed with their different tones and shades.

This was a very fun movie to watch, it had Alan Grant in it, the "velociraptors" had quills, and they put in a new giant carnivore so its not just the t.rex always being the main large theropod of the 5 movies. I also really like the re design of the "brachiosaurs". The logo is also very unique and nice, and I wish they'd put the spinosaurus in later movies and scientifically accurate dinosaurs,but no.

It's better then you think, Still a good movie, Quality steelbook.
