Really is fool proof. Blew a spark plug on my 02 F250 with the 5.4 on the passenger side rear. Was really not looking forward to doing the repair.Watched a YouTube video, and swapped out in about a half hour.My electric impact was able to cut through the aluminum head and add new threads without much effort, very easy to use. The directions made sense, and the kit included everything I needed except for the parts to fix it.I was able to get the car back on the road for right at 100 in parts and me doing the labor. Very inexpensive. Would recommend using a camera to verify the piston is low enough, and to verify you got all the shavings out. Remember to use lubrication when cutting the threads as well.Everything looks good, and the truck is back on the road. I'll hold onto the other 7 adapters for when they go bad too

Real person here . This is the real deal guys no reason to spend 300 on a name brand kit Cal Van . Very simple put the Guide in the hole flat part facing head greeese up drill bit it will catch most of the metal shavings drill until it hits the pins on top that stop it when yiu have drilled far enough. 2 part take guide out insert thread drill but in from bottom put retaining pin on second from the top notch drill down blow out screw on insert to spark plug install and done

I bought this as a precaution when I got my ‘05 4.6. Sure enough, when I started changing the spark plugs, 2 of them had been previously heli-coiled. The inserts came out with the old plugs. I was very nervous the first time I used it until I saw just how easy it is. I used a Milwaukee 3/8” M12 ratchet to turn it. Worked PERFECTLY. Better than new! If you watch a YouTube video or two it is pretty much idiot proof. The tool is self aligned and fits the heads perfectly On a side note, go ahead and get you a bore scope to view I the cylinders to make sure you get as much of the aluminum out as possible. I packed each tool with grease to catch most of the shavings, then vacuumed out with a piece of tubing. Few shots of brake clean and a blast of compressed air and it was ready. 6 months and 8,000 miles later I’m still happy!!!! Saved me the cost of, time and trouble of a set of heads.

Great kit, very complete. Worked perfectly on my '04 Ford 4.6L 2V Triton. New threads cut easily, plug and coil pack go back in their proper position. Very satisfied.
