Pretty Nice Bike Rack
I love this bike rack. I use it on the back of my truck. I appreciate that the bike rack come with a hitch clamp. This keeps the rack from wiggling around in the hitch when driving. Our bikes fit nicely on this rack and are secure. The rack also comes with an extra strap. One thing I will ad is this. I see in reviews some of the rubber straps were breaking. What I did was spray silicone to the hole in the strap and the small post the strap goes over. This helped tremendously when clamping the straps down. This has helped me to not have to struggle strapping the bikes down.

Easy To Assemble Rack! No Wobble With Included Bracket!
Being retired, I needed something very easy to manage, and flexible enough to allow me to easily get in and out of my SUV rear liftgate. I purchased the three bike rack in order to transport two larger beach cruiser bikes with a space in the middle. It took me 15 minutes to assemble and install on my Jeep. There are several reviews complaining about "the wobble". Here's the solution: the manufacturer has included a FREE special u-bolt and bracket. Looking at some of the photos, people have just installed it incorrectly, so it's not taken care of their problem. I've attached a photo of where it goes, and it is solid as a rock when you tighten it up - NO WOBBLE! You might think that bracket will make it hard to take on and off your vehicle, but if you just throw a $5 wrench (17mm or 11/16") in the back of your vehicle, simply loosening the two nuts slightly allows the bracket to slide off with the bike rack when you remove it from your trailer hitch. In fact, the included bracket, when installed per the photo, is a great theft deterrent. Overall it's great rack. The fold down capability to be able to open your rear gate allows you to keep the rack on 24/7, even with bikes on it. Buy this bike rack, for sure, and if you put some wax on it when you wax your vehicle, it will last a long time!

Good but not perfect
Assembly was straightforward. Product is well made. We just took four bikes on a trip with this rack where we drove over 600 miles (mostly highway). Our four bikes weigh 95 lbs total. This is rated for 140. Pros: -Ease of assembly -Materials used -Fit and finish -Security -Pivot function to utilize tailgate is nice and works as designed -Straps are easy to use and it came with an extra replacement strap Cons: -Arms seemed to be a little too short. This meant bikes were crowded on each other and the brackets for the last bike were very close to the end of the tubes. If you care about the finish of your bikes you should probably transport them in a different manner or use tape or some other protective material to protect against rubbing. -Quality control - The loop for the pivot pin retaining wire came loose after maybe the second or third use. See photo. This was under completely normal use without being tugged on. This indicates a rush in the manufacturing process. So easy to just crimp this properly. I am confident I can fix it with a pair of pliers in about 10 seconds, but it was a minor annoyance after so little use. Not a catastrophic issue as it doesn't make the product non-functional as a bike rack. -They supply a nut and bolt to attach the bike rack to the hitch receiver. There was not enough clearance for the bolt head or nut to be tightened with my particular hitch. I don't foresee most people semi-permanently installing a bike rack to their hitch, so a hitch pin is more appropriate (and universal fit) and should be supplied. I spent $12 on a locking hitch pin. Harder for someone to remove the rack and toolless installation and removal. With this type of rack loaded with four bikes, I was constantly aware of it when we went over speed bumps and rough roads. It was hard to tell if there was flex in the rack or if it was just moving with the vehicle. I checked the welds when we got home and everything looked fine. Overall this is a good product.

Happily Surprised--Good, Sturdy Bike Rack at a Great Price
I've been eyeing bike racks for some time. Well, I was finally ready to buy and the one I wanted from Allen was out of stock for the next two months! This was in-stock and happened to be a Lightening Deal, so I decided to give it a go. There's a great video on their website which makes putting it together super easy. Came with all of the tools/parts we needed, plus an extra strap. It also included a stabilizer attachment, which used to be sold separately. This is a super sturdy bike rack. It took about 20 minutes to put together the first time, but once you do that, it's pretty quick to put it on and off. Super happy.

Overall worth the money
Overall I feel this is a good bike rack. The instructions I felt were a little lacking. Multiple additional parts with no mention of how to use. Someone new to "trailering" something may not know. It came with trailer hitch tighteners. Place this over the hitch and clamp between hitch and receiver. This reduces noise and vibration while driving (not required but great feature). Did come with an extra bike strap and crossbar adapter ( no instructions but most people could figure out). The only reason I gave it a 3 was because the hitch mount was not square with the post. Everything bolts in nicely, but since it doesn't align squarely the movable bolt does not go in and out easily. Other than that it is pretty solid and would recommend purchasing it.

Damaged my car, my bike, and risked the safety of others on the road!
AVOID ON THE HIGHWAY!! Those who want a quick Summary: the mounts that hold the bike onto the rack turn into smush when the sun hits them for 2 days, and the straps pop off easily. The bike will unmount and hit your car, or fly off (thankfully I only ended up with a few deep scratches on my car paint and glass, versus the rear window breaking completely. The whole story: I had to do a 3.5 hour drive to make it to a meet up and my goodness this has got to be one of the most stressful drives I’ve ever done. (I’ve driven with a stuttering engine before but driving with this rack was way worse!). It was fine within the city at low speeds but as soon as the sun came out, and I went on the highway at 70mph…oh my goodness…ITS SO BAD!! The bike immediately came off and when I went to go and check, the mounts were just mush! They had gotten so soft in the sun that no matter how many times I try to put the bike back in place, the Mount would just get squashed and deformed under the weight of my bike (my bike weights less than 20lbs). First time bike slid off because mounts just flattened and I ended up with scratches on my cars rear window (photos coming soon) Second time bike slid off because the mounts flattened and the straps were the only thing keeping the bike from flying off….this time I ended up with DEEP scratches in the paint of my car. Third time the bike came off because the straps snapped off. My U-Lock Cable was the only thing ensuring the bike didn’t fly off into traffic. Fourth time the bike came off because the mount was mush again, some heavy braking slid the bike back onto the mount though. All this happened within a 3.5 hour drive. But! The first 1.5 hours the bike was fine, it was the last 2 hours where all of those events above happened. Plus, this was all on butter-smooth florida highways. I was so happy to arrive at my location. The very first thing I did was go to a sporting goods store and buy a Thule bike rack for the drive back (no I can’t afford a Thule so despite being against using credit cards for loans, I’m using my credit line to buy a Thule just for the drive back). I simply cannot risk damaging my car, my bike, or worse, the safety of other drivers on the road. Yes I’m returning this. No I would never recommend this to a friend. Trying to save ~$100 I ended up having the following damage done: Car paint: $50 for touch up paint plus clear coat Scratches on the window: $200 for a new rear window DEEP Scratches on my bike: idk how much this will cost to fix, but definitely ruined the finish on my bike. Other than that major issue, the locking pin jams under the weight of a bike so folding the bike in order to access your trunk will get annoying really fast.

Wonderful bike rack
Received it yesterday and already used it. Bought the 2 bike rack but I regret not buying the 4 bike rack as it is a solid one, super easy to install

Not impressed
This product was ready and easy to setup. Hang on the truck no problem. Yes it swivels but man it’s hard put bikes on. Unless you have a large bike that offers a LARGE only frame, loading up any other bike is a nightmare. Forget putting a woman’s bike on here. Straps are too small for thicker frame. Tried putting my kids bike on this and what a challenge. There is no way to put 4 bikes on here. Especially large ones.. dissapointed with this product and will have to make my own brackets and adjustments hours before I leave for vacation.
