ASICS Men's Gel-Contend 9 Running Shoes

I have purchased this model of Asics in the past and have never had any issues with them. Although I ordered a size .5 smaller than usual, this pair fits well. In fact, I might just order this size again in the future. The recommended thumb width from big toe to shoe tip is perfect with the size "9". The "9.5" I purchased earlier was slightly too long and caused me to trip a couple of times when the tip caught something I did not expect. I can feel the heel cushioning and they are comfortable for use on the treadmill and for walking long distances. They have good traction. The design and material is very good.

Thought about some cool looking Nike’s the other day. Tried them on and they were rock hard compared to my ASICS Gels. These shoes fit great are lightweight and feel like your walking on clouds. I have been a fan for decades. Still the best shoe for everyday use. I don’t run or anything like that, I just like comfortable shoes to wear everyday.

These shoes are great and very comfortable. it looks good and can be in them all day. The shoes make a cracking sound but it’s great

I've had this shoe for almost a year now. I use it almost daily on a walking pad while working from home, plus as a gym shoe. After nearly a year of this routine, I've noticed considerable wear on the sole. Don't get me wrong: the shoe is great and very comfortable, looks decent, and fits great at the start, and has good breathability. However, that comfort has started to fade as the shoe has worn down. Gel-Contends 9 is a really good shoe, but definitely not a long-term, heavy-use shoe. Perfect for casual or rotation use, occasional runs, but don't expect it to last 12+ months of daily wear.

I have foot problems and my podiatrist told me to get better athletic shoes with support...and specifically called out ASICS--a brand I had never considered before. I need a 12 1/2 WIDE and ASICS does it right. These offer good support with a rigid enough sole to hold my feet in a good position. I do more cross-training than running and my feet thank me for buying better shoes. Even in classic black and white, they're still fairly stylish. Fit, comfort, style...all at a good price.

ASICS stopped making the shoes I liked a year or two ago. It took me a couple tries but when I found these I knew they were my new "Go to" for all future shoe purchases. Great shoes, they are comfortable for walking, running, standing. They seem to be very well made and use good quality materials.
