Let me start my stating that I am not a cheese connoisseur. I've always used my kitchen knives to cut quality cheese but thought it wad time to something built for the job. Let's just say I threw this piece of junk in the recycling. With soft cheeses this knife just presses through the cheese - not cutting it. It's like trying to use a cheap fast food knife. With medium hard cheeses (cheddar) it is even more useless. It essentially shaves off small uneven pieces of cheese that need to be combined to make anything of edible size. The good news: it was cheap! But, I was interested in seeing how this performed. If I liked it I was going to upgrade to one of their higher quality sets of cheese knives.

Cuts well. Even a mouse could use it. :-)

sturdy handle, slices cleanly

Thought this would be an elegant replacement for a paring knife we used to cut our cheese blocks. Somehow, it just doesn't do that great a job. The style of handle doesn't lend itself to easy cutting of hard cheeses. However, on the plus side it does look spiffy! We are back to using our Wusthof knife. I wouldn't buy it again.

Boska are now our favorite cheese knives. We like them better than the far more expensive Henckels set we have. Boska's blades are designed better than Henkel's, making better contact with the cheese board. The blade itself is quite thick with a fairly high angle, which is not really ideal, but nonetheless they are quite sharp out of the box. I'm not super fond of high angle blades when it comes to sharpening, but I don't imagine I'll be sharpening these for a good long while: I just don't eat that much cheese!
