Buy The Secret Garden : Illustrated Abridged Children Classics English Novel with Review Questions: Abridged and Illustrated (Illustrated Classics) Abridged by Frances Hodgson Burnett (ISBN: 9789354403392) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: A butchered and badly-written insult to the original book - I strongly recommend reading the sample before buying. The writing isn't merely clumsy but ungrammatical in places and the achievements so crudely done that the whole.thing is an insult to the original. Far better than this would be to buy an unabridged version and be prepared to help any young child for whom it's intended to understand any unfamiliar words of concepts. Older children should be able to overcome a y such difficulties themselves with only minimal help. I still remember reading this aged about eight or nine nearly seven decades later. The book has become a classic for good reason. Although the illustrations in this butchered version are charming enough it's would be far better to offer a child the original so they can discover why the book has enchanted all those previous generations. Please don't deny any child the chance to find out for themselves and don't fob them off with this badly written poor substitute. Review: This was one of my favorite books from my childhood when I was 8 years old. I purchased this book for my 8 year old granddaughter & we read it while I was visiting this Christmas. She absolutely loved it. Made my heart very happy.

The text in the book is simply black and white with sketches. It follows an interesting story. The quality of the pages is also very good. The price is worth it. ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ปโญโญโญโญโญ
