Absolutley amazing value at ยฃ20 inc postage and no complaints from the birds .. so far
I recently bought this large box to feed the birds in my garden through the winter, and I think it will be a reliable staple going forward Absolutley amazing value at ยฃ20 inc postage. The mealworm suet pellets are dense with energy and protein, which seems to be exactly what the birds want. I often see robins, blackbirds, tits and sparrows flocking to the feeder within minutes of topping it up, and they come back again and again through the day.The size & weight of the box makes it very good value for money. It lasts a long time even when you fill multiple feeders each morning, so you feel you are really getting good feed for the price. The pellets are easy to scatter or put in a suet feeder, and they do not fall apart into dust, which helps prevent mess beneath the feeder.I have found that the birds seem very keen at getting a good helping of these pellets, especially in colder weather when natural food is harder to find. That makes this product feel like more than just bird food; itโs a genuine way to help the local wildlife stay healthy through winter.Overall, very happy , will buy this box again and would recommend it if you want a high-energy, well-liked feed that keeps your garden birds coming back.

Has problems but liked by birds
I have been feeding suet pellets to the birds in my garden for the past two years. They pellets are placed out first thing in the morning, under a RSPB approved cage which only allows blackbirds and smaller access to the food. With previous makes, the pellets have gone within an hour. With these most are still there late afternoon. When the cage is removed, for pigeon etc to clear up what is left, even they do not eat them. In the recent rains the suets turns into solid mass. The unused suet in the feeders is also a solid mass, which has to be scraped out.I am going to dispose of the re remaining suet, well over 10kg of the12.5kg recent order, in local woodland, rather than the waste bins. At least the local wildlife may benefit.NOT RECOMMENDED AND WILL NOT BE BUYING AGAINREVIEW UPDATE.The problem when this product gets wet, and turns into solid mass remains, BUT the birds are loving the dried pellets. Within an hour of putting out, either on the ground, or in a feeder, they are gone. So my view has changed and have adjusted my star rating.

The Birds .... and Squirrels Love It
I work overseas - a somewhat problematic situation given the current covid situation and my wife who used to travel with me has been stuck. And seems to have become Nanny to half the wildlife in Norfolk. Covid is a blight but there have been some upsides and one of them for my wife at least, is the chance to actually look at the garden and watch the wildlife. As part of that we started off putting out food for birds and hedgehogs and what we noticed was the fact that they learned when food was going to be put out. It's actually kind of funny in the morning because the food trays are often empty thanks to squirrels and the birds are hanging around waiting for them to be filled up. They have become surprisingly bold almost to the point where they are knocking on the windows trying to get my better 3/4 to hurry up...And it's amazing just how much feed they can get though. So, over to my wife for the review as she is the primary carer for hundreds of birds...Like most of the nation during lockdown I have become increasingly fascinated by our feathered friends in the garden and like to encourage their visits.I have tried lots of different bird food and most have been well received by my visitors, but this is quite an expensive pursuit, especially when word gets out about the all you can eat, dawn till dusk buffet! These suet pellets have proved to be very popular and exceptionally good value compared to others. The pellets themselves are slightly smaller than some of the others I have tried, and I found this encouraged some of the smaller birds to turn up at the table including a wren. This may be a bit of a bulk buy for some people, it comes in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box, so no plastic storage container, but I keep it in the garage out of the way - smaller amounts could be decanted into a storage container for convenience. All in all myself and my feathered visitors are very pleased.

An inexpensive essential bird fo.
When we are not giving bird seed as a food having a large box of mealworm pelletsSeems to be a great alternative. The pellets come well wrapped in a plastic bag inside a substantial box.

All birds hate them!
These are the WORST suet pellets I've ever bought!Everyday, I put out about a cup of suet pellets in a ground feeder, pole feeder dish and scattered on the ground. They are gobbled up by the robins and blackbirds if they can get there before the pigeons clean it all up.But these suet pellets are ignored by all of them. This morning, all the other food is gone, except for the mouldering piles of pellets.I shall have to give the rest of the box away, whilst providing a warning to any taker. What a waste of ยฃ20!

Very popular with the birds
I'm writing when I, and a large portion of Scotland are snowed in and without public transport. And these are really popular and causing a riot on my bird feeders. Some I put in a feeder on their own, and some mixed in bird seed, either way the birds are ramming or dive bombing each other off the bird feeders and seed catching plates to get at them. It's attracted gold, green and chaffinches, coal, blue and coal tits, starlings, blackbirds, thrushes, sparrows, Robins, pheasants and a woodpecker. And there's a now massive rabbit being a pie at the fallen pellets. That last is actually alarming me.I store it in a tub outside and it hasn't gone mouldy, there isn't a heap of crumbled bits at the bottom either, it came well packaged.I think they come perhaps a bit long so the smaller birds struggle a bit, but overall they all seem to love these.
