Fiancé approved!
Bought it for my fiancé and she absolutely loves it! Having really thick hair was always a time consuming process, however, this can dry, curl/style in half the time compared to her old dryer and straightener. Brilliant build quality, noise is considerably less than a traditional hair dryer and not a bother overall! It can take a few attempts to get the hang of it, but just follow instructions closely. Highly recommend

ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY IF YOU HAVE CURLY HAIR!
Absolutely trash for people with curly hair! Bought this and another brands one in the prime sale as I couldn’t choose between them without testing performance. The other brand (named after a sea predator) was used on one side and this on the other. Here are a list of pros and cons of this item Pro • noticeably lighter but not hugely • slightly quieter but only marginally • comes with a nice carry case Cons • attachments kept popping off • colours are garish • the Dyson side took waaaay longer • my hair was SUPER frizzy • it can only be used on somewhat dry hair and doesn’t have a wet hair setting unlike the other brand Honestly if you have curly hair just don’t bother! While the claims of setting up the app to your hair type in order to cause less heat damage sound great, I don’t believe that it will actually be able to carry out that function if your being forced to do so many passes. Additionally after having the attachments pop off on me I looked on social media to see if it was user error and found hoards of people who had the same problem. For the amount of money you have to pay for it, to have sub par results and quality in comparison to a cheaper brand makes no sense. The claims whilst they sound innovative seem impractical and far fetched. Save your coins!

I enjoyed at the beginning but then dryier started to loose the strength suddenly. However, Amazon took it back. Thanks

Perseverance!
I have curly, frizzy shoulder length hair, which is thinner now I'm older. I'm used to using a hair-dryer with a brush attachment, which holds the hair in place as you dry each section. I've only had the Dyson for 3 weeks and I'm still experimenting. It takes a long time to get used to how it works. I recommend watching a lot of the tutorial videos if you have hair like mine. Its difficult to get right up to the roots with both the brush and smoothing attachments. And you have to pull your hair straight as you use it, which I find tiring and sore as I have Fibromyalgia. At present, it certainly doesn't give the smooth finish of my old hairdryer so far. And you think you've dried a section, and it looks good, but 5 minutes later it has frizzed, so obviously its not completely dry. I'm going to persevere for a long while yet because it was so expensive! I bought it because it uses much less heat so doesn't damage hair so much. Also, you must use blow-drying cream, and heat protectant. Dyson's own products are really expensive so I'm trying cheaper blow-dry creams. I did lots of research before I bought it. I'll keep trying for now.
