It has been an excellent experience testing the product in a residential environment.

The torch lit without any problem, but be aware that the metal part (that the flame comes out of) gets extremely ho VERY quickly.....I lay the torch on some artificial grass to cool down an some of the turf 'glued' to the metal part, which seems to have adversely affected the ability to light it without a bit of difficulty. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it. Now that I know what not to do, I can always replace the head (which can be bought separately from the canister.

I like this to kill midges and start the wood burner.

Do not buy this product. The valve meant to lock the gas pin is weak and insecure, causing a severe, audible gas leak when assembled. If enough gas leaks and unknowningly one presses the igniter, it is a disaster waiting to happen. I used this burner torch twice over the last month before the mechanism failed completely. It is a major risk to life. Amazon needs to remove this listing immediately.

Perfect replacement

I have had a 3 of these cheap blow torch heads over the last 3 years . They never last long as they will eventually break. They can be very dangerous in that there is not often a good tight seal between the cannister and the blow torch unit, meaning a little gas can escape....SO.... I only ever use mine for outdoor use...lighting a barbeque or burning off weeds and for this type of purpose I think they are an acceptible risk( for me at least ) so long as you are prepared to jetison the whole thing on the ground if a flame ever takes hold of the main torch unit and probably use with a glove ...I would NEVER EVER EVER attempt to use these indoors for example browning off a brulee or something in the kitchen, because you know that if something might happen, it probabvly will. If the above description worries you that there could be a flame risk on the unit, then don't buy one . I have given it 3 stars given the use I have of these blow torch heads , but as they used to say in Hill St Blues, be careful out there.

Easy to use and reliable, much better than an expensive Rothenberger torch I previously purchased.

Great product. Now I can get the very last out of my gass cans.

The blowtorch attachment locks firmly to a butane gas cartridge and is very easy to use. Initially, it worked great without any problems, however after several uses, the igniter stopped working. It still clicks, but no spark is produced to ignite the flame anymore. This isn't a major issue since I can still use a matchstick to ignite the flame manually. While it’s still functional, I expected better durability. I’ve since switched to a different blowtorch attachment. Overall it is a good tool but the igniter issue is a significant drawback.

You only get top part gas bought seperate but it works great
