CeraVe Gentle Hydrating Conditioner, Hair Conditioner with Hyaluronic Acid

My scalp is very reactive it gets itchy and miserable. I don't have dandruff but suspect it is some kind of ingredients allergies. My hair is light curly my scalp dry and itchy then turns oily and my ends dry. I don't color or hear treat or straighten my hair with any chemicals or heat straightening. There have been too many reports of possible health outcomes from chemical and color processing. The conditioner was able to detangle my long hair and leave it feeling moisture and soft. No itchy scalp either. There is amododimethicone in the ingredients if you are against any type of silicone this may not be for you. It does have just a hint of fragrance not much but just a hint. It's probably from the ingredients and I could just lightly smell it but it doesn't linger or cause any issues or stay in hair. To me it was almost just a light very light almost citrus like smell. The conditioner is white color and thick. It is easy to squeeze out my f container. I have very light hair and it didn't discolor my hair or cause any skin irritation or acne

I absolutely love the CeraVe Hydrating Conditioner with ceramides, niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid. Whatever they're doing, they are doing it right! I recently had 12 inches cut off from my long hair as it had become so unmanageable for me due to disabilities. It's still not real short. It's much cooler for the Summer; although, I normally get my hair mostly just trimmed or slightly cut in the Autumn season. It had been way too long for too long so I had to get it cut. I shocked the hairstylist as she snipped it off in huge amounts and I watched and almost cried at the amount of hair the machine sucked up. It will grow back fast, though. This CeraVe Hydrating conditioner makes my hair feel tangle-free, in excellent condition combined with the matching shampoo. It doesn't have a fragrance to me and it is advertised as fragrance-free, as well. The consistency is just right. I believe the effectiveness overall of the two products combined are just what I have been looking for in all of those high end conditioners and they haven't been able to satisfy my desires. As long as the CeraVe products keep making my hair look this nice and feeling so soft after using them, I will continue to purchase! Now, if only they could reduce plastic and put these formulas in a conditioner bar, I would be highly content. The price for the shampoo and conditioner is very reasonable compared to what I had been paying for the brand name, high end ones even at the beauty supply store with hairstylist discount. I'm not a hairstylist, never have been, nor have I ever had a desire to be. I just know when I know and when you don't know, you don't know. I will be looking for this in a shampoo and conditioner bar soon, I hope. I believe it will be a great and suitable product for any hair type, as their products description state. Approved by dermatologists, so it must be pretty good if they recommend it. I use a lot of CeraVe products and have always been highly satisfied with the results they provide. I have coarse, mid length now, dry, naturally curly hair. Highly recommend!

So I’m going to be up front. A year ago I lost all of my hair due to chemotherapy. I lost it within two weeks of it starting. This would be a TC chemo situation. This is for invasive breast ductal carcinoma. Coming back after chemo, surgery and Radiotherapy . Which ended in February 2026 so now my hair is getting pretty long compared to bald. Lol. Ok, hmm should I keep it short or grow long. Anyway, I like the what it does for my hair. It’s making it soft and it’s growing back quite well. I actually have several friends for commenting like how much my hair has grown. The conditioner is light and not greasy. You don’t need to use that much and I like the value of the product.

Bought for: I have 3C curly hair + dandruff, and I use a shampoo rotation (dandruff shampoo most days + purple shampoo 1x/week for gray). I needed a hydrating “reset” shampoo that brings softness back without fragrance. How I use it: Dandruff shampoo: 4 days/week This shampoo + matching conditioner: 2 days/week Purple/brightening shampoo: 1 day/week This is the moisture step that counters what the other shampoos can strip. Likes: Dry scalp hydration: Yes, it helps my scalp feel more comfortable and less dry. (Not a medicated dandruff/itch treatment.) Creamy + easy rinse: Very creamy, lathers well with real suds, and rinses easily, even in thick curls. Curls look fresh: My curls look bouncy and clean, not weighed down. Truly fragrance-free: Zero scent. Not “lightly scented,” just no fragrance. No buildup: Rinses clean with no buildup, but also doesn’t leave hair feeling stripped or squeaky. Notes: This isn’t a replacement for dandruff shampoos like Head & Shoulders or Selsun Blue. It’s a hydrating shampoo, not a medicated one. Not silicone-free: it contains amodimethicone. This makes my hair soft and moisturized. My favorite thing about it is that it doesn’t take forever to rinse out like most conditioners and doesn’t cause build up. It’s not the most moisturizing conditioner I’ve ever used but it’s cheap and it definitely still works very well. Also for acne prone people, this conditioner is a godsend because it’s non comedogenic and that’s very hard to find in a cheap conditioner. It has a strong chemical smell but it doesn’t stick around after washing out. I’d say if this conditioner gave more slip to the hair and had more detangling properties after drying then I’d be in absolute heaven.

At last! I was dealing with some skin issues that were also showing up on my scalp including dryness and itchiness and my dermatologist recommended CeraVe. So I gave this conditioner a try and I have to say it really does deliver on everything it promises. This is a clean non-greasy conditioner that actually moisturizes without weighing your hair down. It is free from a lot of the harsh chemicals that can aggravate a sensitive scalp which was a huge deal for me. My hair comes out soft and hydrated every single time and for someone managing skin sensitivities that is not something I take for granted. The value is great too especially considering what you are getting. Derm recommended scalp friendly and it actually works. The only thing I would love to see improved is the detangling. It could do a little more work in that department. But if you have a dry itchy or sensitive scalp and you are tired of conditioners that leave residue or make things worse this one is genuinely worth trying.

As I age and after chemo my scalp has gotten maddeningly itchy. I have tried numerous shampoo/conditioner formulations. I have used Cera Ve body moisturizing cream for years. So when I saw a new shampoo/conditioner by the company, I tried it. The formulation is thick and creamy; a nickel sized drop of each makes tons of suds. Now it is not a cure for itchiness, but it does soothe because of the hyaluronic acid and niacinamides included in the product. There is a slight scent,clean and natural. To me this is a good value product, and I will continue purchasing.

This is so wonderful and leaves my hair clean and soft and manageable. I can comb through my hair very easily with my wide tooth comb on wet hair which is recommended. Its best to leave it on for a few minutes. I leave in for three minutes and rinse very well for at least 30 seconds to activate the hyaluronic acid and ceramides for better results. My hair is so soft and moist and healthy. Does not weigh down the hair if you use it strictly on the middle and the ends only leaving the scalp bare.

Good for dry frizzy hair.
