solid and very capable mig welder, best in class!
this is my 4th chinese multi function welder, and i have ran over 60 lbs of .035 wire with co2 gas in the first 3 welders used in repair of trash truck compactors, so i have a fair amount of experience with these units. this is my first femerol product (mig 250 max) and it arrived in good condition with an amazon delivery person. adequately packed, but maybe lacking sufficient packing should it have been delivered by fedex or ups where the shipping processes in my experience are much harder on things like electronics. so thumbs up for amazon delivery! unboxed and changed the drive roller over to the V roller for 0.9mm for the .035" wire i use, installed the torch head/lead which btw appears to be a bit heavier and better built than what is typical of these welders. installed the included 0.9 contact tip, and attached a co2 cylinder. ran a few beads on some scrap 3/16" plate, and also a T joint of the same scrap, the machine runs very nicely without issue and has several extra parameter settings generally not available on this class of welder. the overall build quality seems good, fit and finish quite good, and seems to have some heft and does not appear cheap or feel cheaply made. i have a large 44"x75" mild steel plate to weld into the back of a compactor, so there will be about 160" of weld, top and overhead to be done, with the plate beveled to allow for proper penetration. this will put this unit to a rather severe test of its capability. i will be watching for staying under the duty cycle for the operation, at my age i have a smaller duty cycle anyway, so i would expect the machine to have no problem over running me. so far i am impressed with this product, and will know after this project how good it really is. i do expect it will do just fine and will have my approval. in any case this is a really good unit at an equally good price point, well suited to home use, light industrial, and other uses where portability is paramount. update: after running nearly 11lbs of 035, i switched to .030 with the AI recommended settings for this machine to do a bunch of overhead welding. the problems i had were related to my advanced age not allowing my neck to bend back far enough, and not being able to get into the center vision of my tri focal glasses, so i passed the torch to the younger guy. he being someone that has several years of heavy welding, spray arc of thick section steel, so he at first was not impressed with such a tiny little toy (his words, not mine). by the time he was done welding, which was over an hour of continuous operation at an indicated 150-160amps he is now a convert! he absolutely loves this machine. that welder never complained a bit, the only upgrade i did was a 1/0 copper ground lead and a quality ground clamp the torch and its lead remained oem stock, and were quite warm when he stepped down but gave no problems if i had a small shop where we did piece work, small jobs at a bench, i would have 2 or more of these welders at each station, setup to run .023, .030, and .035 wires, each on a shelf above the bench making adjustments easy for even old guys like me. i really like this welder, and it has paid for itself running the first couple rolls of wire. for a homeowner, diy'er, small time operator, this mig welder is in my opinion really good.

Great Value - Melts Like Butter
Hot rod of a machine and given the price point, Iโd say itโs a great value. Compared to some of my other big name machines this is an impressive little welder. Needed something portable that I could toss around on my service truck and didnโt want to break the bank. 250amp output for $200 is what caught my eye, along with everything I could find about this machine being tested on Google/Yutube. I keep mine loaded with basic .035 flux (outdoor/mobile repair) and other than slight changes with various brands of wire and material, which is a given on any welder, it runs really well. Never had a โeuro styleโ gun before but I really like how easy it is to feed the wire into the gun when changing spools and the twist lock connector doesnโt work itself loose on washboard roads! Lightweight machine (machine itself only weighs about 30 lbs, depending on the spool of wire youโre using), came with a sticker for the door to give you some base settings (this is common but I saw another review saying it didnโt come with any sort of chart, so I assume thatโs an โupdateโ), handles various types of wire thickness and materials (you may need to purchase some additional accessories depending on what youโre trying to do, which is normal with any machine you buy), came with a decent instruction manual, and has a ton of settings that I havenโt even messed with yet. I mostly run in manual mode and make adjustments by the seat of my pants but the auto settings can get you really close if youโre new to welding and need to quickly stick some metal together. Also runs great off my 13k watt generator, which I have read can be an issue with some of the imported inverter style machines. Not sure how durable this will be in the long run but it seems to be consistent with other Chinese machines and handles bouncing around in a truck on backroads. As others have stated, you could buy 4-5 of these for the price of one big name machine. In terms of production, I think itโs much quicker to order another one and have Amazon drop it off in 2 days vs driving to a brick and mortar shop to leave my machine to get repaired, warrantied, etc. This product also has a 2 year warranty, if you need to exercise that option. Would absolutely recommend for home/hobby type use, as well as mobile applications where weight, productivity, and budget are key. Can always spend more money if that helps you sleep comfortablyโฆ Wouldnโt hesitate to purchase for a small shop that only needs to weld a couple times a week/month either.

Great for the price!
I really like this welder. It has gotten lots of use since purchase and it hasn't let me down. My only 2 suggestions would be,,: 1) change the gas hose setup from a barbed connection to a regular welding gas hose setup. 2) Offer this unit with a longer 220v only plug. The attachment for 110v is annoying. 6 month update:- Welder stopped working. At first it was hit and miss then stopped altogether. I contacted the company and they were immediately responsive and helped solve the problem. I would def say that they went the extra mile to make me a happy customer. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat! In the meantime, I have been very impressed with the weld quality. I only use it for gas mig welding but I'm sure the other features will work just fine...

Pretty good machine overall
So I bought this machine just a couple months ago and I noticed first off the inches per minute are in meters per minute. Slightly different than what I'm used to but a quick Google search and doing some math and it's pretty simple to make yourself a reference chart. I was quite impressed with the machine and the simplicity of it. It seems to run very well for my needs with my business. It is lightweight and versatile. There were a couple things I noticed that could use improvements, but overall it was a pretty good machine until yesterday when I plugged it in to make a weld repair for a friend of mine at a neighboring shop and I heard a loud pop inside the machine as soon as I turn it on. Smoke rolled and what appeared to be almost molten like material came flying out of the sidewall casing. Not sure what melted or exploded internally but it was definitely a manufacturer's issue as I have seen other reviews stating similar problems. I was smart and purchased the extended protection plan when I bought this machine and was able to get a rapid response and refund. I have ordered another machine to give it a second chance and see if this was just an occasional issue or if this happens again. So far, overall, I have been quite pleased with the machine and it's performance. Other than the couple little details that could be addressed and changed, it's been a very good machine so far especially for the price. Will update further after I received the new replacement and put it through its work as well.

Great welder for the price point, but with some hidden flaws
Welder does everything it claims, mine worked perfectly out of the box, jumped into stick welding, all went well except for E6010 rods.. This welder will NOT run 6010 rods consistently. I hooked up a multi meter to it; 57 volts OCV, display shows 67.5; CCV jumps from 17 to 27, this is absolutely not enough to maintain an arc for 6010, but will work just fine for other rods like 7018. You get what you pay for, but you really do get a lot out of it for such a low price point. 1 star deducted because I wanted to learn 6010 more than anything but the machine is not capable of running it.

Very Good So Far
Have used for flex welding and worked well. Tried spot welding and wasn't very good but it was my first time trying spot welding. I'll update the review once I use this product more.
