Whatโs not to love?!
Nicest rimless nano aquarium I have ever bought. It was packaged so well and it really helped because my sister accidentally dropped it bringing it in. For the size, this tank really stands out. Perfect size and shape for my desk. Immediately upon opening I noticed it has a nice built in leveling matt. This tank is super sturdy but not too heavy. Doesnโt take up too much room. I also noticed the bottom is glass too and not cheap plastic like most nanos. It came with the back glass painted black, but there is a clear option as well. I paint the backs of all my tanks black and often use black substrate. Makes the fish stand out and brightly colored. I leak tested it for 2 days before setting it up and there was no leakage at all. The light is really nice and bright. I like that I can switch it on and off with 1 push of a button. However, I like things uncomplicated. So if you want full spectrum and programmable you will want to get a different type. Works great with my plants. I put velcro on back of light switch and the tank to have easy access. I put a floating log and Amazon frog bit in my tank to shade my ADFs. The filter is wonderful and simple for this size tank. IMO it is comparable to the Fluval HOB filters at a fraction of the price. So good I ordered the same filter separately for another nano tank. Works great and is almost silent. I added some ceramic media to the right side of my filter. I like that it has multiple types of filtration in one yet not complicated at all. Super easy to clean the sponge filter inside the tank that makes it safe for smaller critters like neos. The one on the outside-HOB-is great because it has carbon & basically filter floss and another pre-sponge basically all in one. If you donโt want to use this kind, i suggest filter floss. All in all looks amazing (and expensive) at a stealer price. Great for a starter tank too. Would def buy again!

High quality tank, higher quality price.
Fantastic quality for the price, I am blown away! The tank is sleek, beautiful, and I LOVE the black background that's built into the glass. It feels very sturdy and high quality, no blemishes in the silicone which is very nice, no leaks so far. The filter is great, completely silent and very powerful, I have it on the lowest setting and there's still no dead spaces in the tank currently. Once the carbon filter is gunked up I will be replacing it with sponge or filter floss like I do with my bigger tank. The light seems strong and looks great on the plants, but time will tell when it comes to how it grows them. The size fits perfectly on my desk, and it will be perfect for my shrimp and snails once it is cycled and planted. My only complaint is that the lid doesn't seem to fit just right, and I think it's because of the light's clamp-on base being just a hair too big for it to sit flush with the cutout. But unless you look closely or fiddle around with it, it's stable and looks good. Love the little feeding port and access hole at the top that comes with a little lid that slides into place. Pro tip: This is NOT suitable for fish! It is too small for even bettas who will need 5+ gallons, or micro rasboras which need 10+. I recommend snails and shrimp, just as I am doing. This would be an incredible tank for Opae Ula shrimp, brine shrimp, amphipods, or other bizarre pets.

Perfect Shrimp Tank
A very nice aquarium for the price. It fits well on a desk and looks great. I am using mine as a planted desk tank for a handful of cherry neocaridina shrimp and this kit is perfect for that purpose. The filter runs quietly - however I have found that if the filter is jostled it can produce an audible hum. When that happens I just gently reposition it until I hear it running more smoothly. It's a relatively good filter so far, but my tank is also planted so the filter quality matters slightly less - I do really like the adjustable flow knob so I can make the current gentler as I have had shrimplets hatch in this aquarium since I set it up. I cannot comment on the quality of the light that comes in this kit, as I decided to use a different light I already had set up at my desk, but I did plug it in and it seems like a perfectly nice light so I might use it for one of my other tanks. Personally I would not keep fish in this tank because I feel like it is too small, but it is perfect for a small population of invertebrates. I may purchase this kit again in the future for raising other colors and varieties of shrimp, and possibly also for keeping micro crabs. I have yet to find a similar tank that is so suitable for raising aquatic plants and invertebrates for such a good price!

GORGEOUS! Minimalist, Sleek Tank
This is a beauuuuuutiful aquarium! It's just the perfect size for my betta, who is very, very happy in here, with it being heavily planted, a tunnel, a shelf hammock, a driftwood open cave, and a clay "vase" full of more Anubias. What I love about this tank: - Intelligently designed and very functional. There are two small slots in the back of the cover/lid, which fits my bubbler tube perfectly on the left. My heater cord fits perfectly in the slot on the right. I don't use the filter or the light clip that comes with it, so I cut up pieces of the foam packing to cover those up to retain the heat. The little hole in the front left is left open for air exchange. - The feeding hole right in the middle of the lid is the perfect size. It has its own lid that conveniently lifts on and off for easy feeding. - The beautiful glass is crystal clear, feels super smooth, and has a pretty light blue-green tint on the edges. - The silicone seal is completely invisible, not sloppy goops like some big-box store brands. - The material/glass feels like high quality. - The tank overall feels very sturdy and well made. - The base has a light white pad, which helps with stability so it doesn't slide around very easily. - The lid has a thin inner lip, so condensation and bubbler spray fall back into the tank and does not leak on the outside, as I have experienced with another tank. - Love the sleek, minimalist look of the whole tank. Even the lid is very suave and fits perfectly. I spent days looking at many tanks and their specs. I had originally ordered a different tank, but cancelled it just in time and got this one instead. So happy that I did. This is a bit pricey, considering I'm not using the filter or the light that comes with it. But overall this is a great tank, very beautiful, high quality, and well made. I would buy 1,000 of these. Very highly recommended!

Amazing quality
This tank is SO CUTE!! I absolutely cannot even begin to explain how impressed I was for the price! The only thing that needs to be added is a heater which is pretty cheap! Itโs so easy to set up and the quality is amazing.

Best Starting Setup Money Can Buy!
This kit is amazing for the price. The tank is great quality and crystal clear. It has the absorption and balancing pad adhered to the bottom which is convenient. Super cool little filter too. I don't use carbon with my tanks so instead I filled as much biomedia in there that I could along with the cartridge filter. Very quiet and no issues with it although I do wonder if it's cycling enough water. I mounted it on the short end so I don't know if it's leaving dead pockets on the other side. This is just a planted tank currently so no biggie if so. The light is my only complaint. It runs super hot and is pretty weak overall. I don't think it's capable of providing the lighting plants need. There's so many quality lights for super cheap on Amazon so it's null. All in all this can't be beat for the price however. For any of you considering this as your startup or a gift for someone this holiday season (that's deserving of a $60 setup), do it.

Awesome tank!
The NICREW 2.5 Gallon Nano Nature Aquarium Kit is great so far, I have it for my betta fish. So first I was worried about the reviews, I read the bad comments first and people were saying that their fish was getting sucked into the filter and chewed up in it? There is a bottom to the filter so fish can't get in; and it comes with a sponge to go around the part of the filter where it sucks the water in. Also, all the filter is is like this sponge in it that you need to replace every four weeks (or that's what it says, just rinse it with water every week, so you don't need to replace it for a little longer) one side lets good bacteria grow and the other filters bad bacteria. But watch for the light cause the light gets hot so I recommend not leaving it on for more than an hour or have it facing a little away from the tank, so it doesn't warm the water up. But don't leave your fish in this tank for the rest of its life eventually upgrade to a bigger one so he'll (or she'll) have more space to swim around. The gravel and rocks it came with are nice I mixed some of my old colorful gravel from my other tank with it so it's a mix of colorful colors and browns, (also make sure to rinse the gravel and river rocks with water!) But be aware since the filter and the light both need to be plugged in, you'll have to have it somewhere where they can plug in their nice sized cords though. Also, I really like the cover; He's getting used to swimming up to where the hole is when I feed him. Also, once maybe a month when you replace your filter sponge in the filter take the tube and rinse it in warm water, so it'll get maybe if there's some grease or anything like that in it but NO SOAP! Soap can hurt your little fish friend even if you rinsed it really well with soap don't use it. The filter can make a little motor noise but press down on the top of it softly and do it a couple of times and it should go away but if you do it once then you fixed it, but don't have the filter on to strong cause it will pull your betta or other fish to where it sucks water in (remember there's a bottom to it and a sponge don't take of the sponge unless you are replacing it) But you want to change some of the water at least every week ( if you're doing all the water make sure to put your fish in the same water in a different container) then take a thermometer to make sure the water temperature of the new water is like the old water. Get a heater for your fish they do not like being cold but if you have one and it's on and you feel like it's the waters a little cold it could be that because heaters usually heat it up to like 75' F which is a great temperature for them. But anyways I love this tank it's great for my fish and if you looking at the bad reviews, I think the one where the fish was stuck in the tube was because they didn't have the bottom tube on? But yeah, great kit gets a heater for your fish their little things on the lid for 2 other cords so prob for heaters. If you're getting tiny fish maybe max put 2-3 in not 5-6! (manual says 5-6 way too many for this tank) also IT SAYS A FISH IS AN ITEM! WHAT!!!??

Great little tank
Purchased this for snails. I'm not sure if it's large enough for anything else. It was super easy to set up and has been working great.

Small and Mighty: High-Quality Nano Setup
Build & Design The quality of the glass is excellent. It features a dark background and comes with a leveling mat already glued to the bottom, which is a great functional detail. The kit is comprehensive, including the light, filter media, lid, and even gravelโa really nice touch that makes it truly "plug and play." There is even enough space to place plant cuttings on top of the tank. Packaging & Delivery I was initially worried about ordering a glass tank for delivery, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was packed incredibly tight and arrived perfectly intact. Verdict Iโm very happy with this purchase. Itโs a high-quality, sturdy little tank that punches well above its weight class. Whether you are into aquascaping or just need a solid home for a betta, this kit delivers.

Excellent tank package
Very lovely tank. Easy to set up. Nice, quiet filter. Beautiful look and size. Love the lid with an opening to feed. Great for what we wanted it for a freshwater shrimp and guppy tank.

Now waiting for a 5 or 10 gallon.
This is such a great little aquarium except of course there is very little that can be housed in it. I will be using mine as a nursery for baby/juvenile Rice Fish (Medaka). Otherwise a couple of shrimp or snails is all it will hold. The packaging was perfect, product arrived in good condition. Set up was super easy. I used a finer gravel than it came with, but did use the stones and part of the rougher gravel it came with. You can adjust the flow of water, and I can barely hear the aquarium running. I love the slightly transparent black back as it hides wires, and also makes foreground pop. Has a padded base which is great. Lid is basic, but adequate. Light seems fine, it only has one setting. Note: It does not come with a heater, but I think thatโs typical for nano tanks. I really hope due to the success of this tank, they roll out a 5 gallon and a 10 gallon so we can actually house even just a few nano fish or a Betta. (This is too small for a Betta. It would have no swimming space.)

All I Can Say Is WOW!
Don't even hesitate. This tank is awesome! My little betta guy loves the upgrade with all the extra space. The design of the tank is sleek with nice quality glass and a cool black background. Super quiet filter with adjustable water flow. Took 5 minutes to set up. Just make sure you pour water into filter chamber to activate the flow once assembled on side of tank. Also, water level in tank should be quite high to keep filter working efficiently.
