Perfect little kit! My old trombone had been sitting in the garage for 20 years and needed a serious clean before my middle schooler could use it for band. This kit came with everything needed, had really good detailed instructions, and made the whole process easy. Worked perfectly!

I love this kit. It has everything you need - whether you're a starting player or an adult learner like me. Included: Plastic zip-lock style bag: Perfect for slipping into a case or gig bag. Informative ad on the bag. How often does the ad card on the bag deserve its own point? The ad card explains a point many beginning players fail to understand. Over time, mold can build up in the instrument, so all brass instruments require periodic end-to-end cleaning and sanitization. It's great to put this up front. Trombone care instruction card, with slide positions on the reverse. This is great. Even for an adult, the slide position chart is helpful for learning. The slide care instructions are great for anyone who needs a reminder. They cover everything from initial installation and greasing a trombone, to maintenance, to periodic cleaning to prevent mold in the slide and other hard-to-reach areas. Mouthpiece brush. Used to clean out the stem of the mouthpiece. Has graduated bristles to suit most mouthpieces. Slide brush. Trombones require a special flexible brush which can go all the way down the slide tubing. Has 2 different brushes for different bores. Lint-free cloth. Either for wiping grease off the slide when it becomes dirty, or for regularly wiping fingerprints off the instrument. Slide grease and slide cream. The two most important tools in the trombonist's maintenance kit. These may see daily use, depending on your usage level. Extras. There's a pencil for marking up sheet music. There's a fun pencil topper or finger puppet - the last time I saw one like I got in my kit was 20 years ago! All my friends were actually amazed by this bit. There's also a bookmark featuring common music terms ("allegro"), and on the reverse some ads for Monster Oil products, including a 20% off code for their store when you re-order supplies like oil. There's even a spray bottle to mist water on the slide after you oil it. A freshly oiled slide will "stick" a bit and feel slow, and you need to put some air (and moisture) through it to warm it up. Misting some water will skip that process, freeing your slide immediately. Not needed, but appreciated. Overall: I played trombone for 6 years in middle and high school. This kit has everything I would have needed to get through all 6 years. That's including the pencil to scribble notes onto marching band sheets during practice! Clearly the person who designed this bag knew what they were doing. Recommended.

Wonderful value for the price. Excellent for a new trombone player with a care card with great information for parents of beginner players, too! The lubricants work really well lasting over a week for beginner students. Will repurchase in the future!
