I freeze portions in them, close off the top of the bag, and just drop them into a pot of boiling water when it's time to eat. The bags are long - very long, you may need to trim them - and be careful what you use to close the bags (I use rubber bands fastened tightly around the top end but not too close to the boiling water) - I have also used pieces of 20- or 18- gauge copper wire from my project supply. Recommended.
