Fantastic kit
I don't write very many Amazon reviews but was so impressed with this kit that I felt I should. It comes with everything that you could possibly need, is easy to install and holds the lights great. I've bought many of the components of the kit one off in my life and have to say that for the money it's a great deal alone. Buying the parts would probably run about double what you pay for the kit in my experience.Sure, you may get by with just letting the light cord hold the weight but why when this kit is so cheap and complete! No stress on the power cords this way and the clips that were on my light strings went right over the cables for a quick string light installation.

Great kit to outside lamps !

Great buy!
The kit was cheaper than buying 100’ of the same type of wire through my local big box store and better quality. The additional hardware made it icing on the cake, and made installing string lights around my patio incredibly easy, this was a great find.

Did the job well
Installed 4 sets of patio lights with this and it worked well. Cable was perfect for the weight of the lights and is hardly visible. I did not like the twist ties, so I used small zip ties instead. Turnbuckles worked fine. All hardware is a little on the small side so I needed to buy some longer screws to attach through my siding to secure clamps to my house. Was very windy yesterday and all held well, so those screw fasteners for tying back the cable worked fine, although the rubber part of the cable was hard to get through the small holes. Also if you strip the rubber from the cable it goes through the fastener holes easier but the cable is like needles and will stab you if it un-winds.

Great All-In-One Kit
Perfect kit to hang exterior string lights. Comes with everything we needed to hang lights over our patio. It was much less expensive than buying the individual pieces from a big box store. Plus it was so easy to order the kit as opposed to hunting in a big store for all the pieces. We’ve had the cable hanging for over a year now and haven’t had any problems even during thunderstorms and Chicago winter. The included adjustable turnbuckles allow you to loosen or tighten the strand by a couple of inches, which we did after adding the lights to the cable to get the right amount of swag. I’ve recommended this kit to several friends who used it as well, and it worked great for them.

Easy to use, but you will probably have to buy additional hardware. I did.
I bought this to hang (3) 48-ft string lights. There was plenty of cable (164 ft) for the work I needed, which was a major factor in my choice initially. Depending on the configuration of your setup, you may be required to make a visit to a hardware store or "big box" DIY store. For my plans, I ended up needing extra turnbuckles and caribiners (snap hooks). Also, be aware that the hardware is fairly small - I bought heavier gauged items to ensure they would hold properly. All in all, it added probably an additional $30-$40 bucks for me - which, like I said, you may or may not need depending on what you do with it. (sorry about the pictures being on their sides)

Lightweight but held up to a substantial wind/rain storm
The wire and fittings are lighter weight than the professional parts I have seen on Youtube videos and that concerned me but, the day after we put them up we had a pretty big storm with high wind and rain and the system held up perfectly. Two runs of lights...one about 45ft and the other about 30ft, with regular outdoor lights and wire which was pretty heavy. The only difficulty I had was the saddles or locks that you use to lock the wire (by doubling the wore back through the holes and screwing in place). The wire diameter was right at the limit of the holes and forcing it through wasn't particularly easy...hard on the fingers. I used two per wire as a failsafe and they held up fine...this is just an installation issue. I don't know that I would use them for a really long single line (60-100ft without intermediate support) but they seem great so far with the lengths I am using.

Great value
I used this kit for hanging string lights on my patio, from the area under my gutters to freestanding poles (about 30' spans). I like that the kit has black wire, which I couldn't find at the local big-box stores. As others have said, the devices for making loops are a bit weak, but two of them hold quite well (or buy the saddle types at a hardware store -- they are inexpensive). I managed quite a bit of tension on the wires and everything has been holding for the last month, despite several thunderstorms with heavy winds.
