## Description

Kill outdoor ants before they make their way inside with Amdro Ant Killer for Outdoor Home Perimeter, an ant control product for homeowners. This ant bait outdoor formula is designed to surround your home with a band of protection as an outdoor perimeter bait around the house perimeter, around the foundation, or the lawn perimeter. This dual-action bait attracts and kills listed common ant species and keeps working for up to three months. Foraging worker ants think the ant bait granules are food and carry them back to their colonies. Shared with other ants, including the queen, its ant-killing power goes to work. Expect to see fewer ants within one week. When the queen is dead, the mound dies! Use any time ants are active during spring or summer for home perimeter treatment and outdoors in the yard.

Review: Best thing I’ve found for red ants - This is the best product I’ve found for getting rid of red ants. I’ve seen results within hours, and the colonies I’ve treated haven’t come back. Application is very easy—just sprinkle it around their entrance, and the ants do the work.
Review: It works and didn't even take long! - It goes against my morals and principles to "kill" a tiny life that just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I usually try to save insects by gently capturing them in a tissue and letting them go free outside. With larger ants, that is easy to do. Even a slow fly can be saved, (they are rarely slow, though!), if you can get it in time. But those tiny ants are next to impossible to save. They are just too tiny. So, in this case, I had to choose the quality of MY life & the family member I live with over these tiny little innocent creatures who were simply looking for food in the wrong place. This annoying ant infestation was in the kitchen on the counter! These tiny little buggers were just where you prepare your food, on the counter near the sink. I've never used a product like this before, so this was a new experience for me. However, it is so annoying and disruptive to one's quality of life to deal with ants in their kitchen. I had to submerge my morals in this case. I carefully controlled how I spread this product outside right where the ground meets the house, putting down enough but not too much. That was fairly easy to do with the lid that come with it. I put it all along the permimeter of the entire back side of the house, not just under the kitchen window. The very next day, there were no ants in the kitchen! I couldn't believe it. I thought it had to be a fluke. I was waiting for them to appear the next morning. They did NOT. This stuff really works! If you have an ant problem, do not think twice about buying this product. It is effective and will give you your peace of mind back!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: My ants ignore this bait completely. They are not interested in sugar or p.n.butter either. What's the solution?**
A: Are your ants outdoors? If yes, I'm at a loss to answer why they would not take the bait. I have used this product successfully for years. If your ants are indoors, you might try Boric Acid.

**Q: Is this Waterproof?**
A: I don't what you mean about water proof, everything will wash away with water, I just sprinkle it at the ant hill and they are gone in a day, I live in the high desert of california. I love this stuff, it works great.

**Q: Is this amdro's yellow type or the grey? (i've found big difference)**
A: It is yellow cornmeal look and it really works the ants carry it back to where the queen is and the ants disappear and don't come back

**Q: Has anyone used this around lizards or squirrels? Or would anyone use it around these critters?**
A: I have used this product for a couple of years now. It works great. I sprinkle it around my home and around my yard perimeter. I have not seen a decrease in the gecko's/lizards so I assume they are ok. I don't think squirrels are attracted to it either. The product works great for about 45-60 days.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So Good....it actually works!!
*by D***N on September 28, 2026*

Honestly, I don't recall what product I was using before...some white powder. I'd sprinkle it down and the ants would "disappear" only to see a new hill pop up a few feet away a couple of days later. Then I ordered Amdro. Ok, everyone, this stuff works! Not only can you physically watch the ants grab the granules and take them down the hole but the ants actually die. I even saw some dead ants near the opening a few days after I applied the bait. AND no new ant hills popped up the next day, the next week or month. I think 2-3 months went by before I saw a new ant hill. A little product goes a long way so I won't need more for quite a while, but when I do, I'm ordering this ant killer again!
