Metfut Laptop Cooling Pad with Detachable Fan & Cooler,360° Rotation Base

I originally bought this because I have a high-performance laptop with 12 GB of VRAM and upgraded the system RAM to 64 GB. Under heavy workloads, it can generate quite a bit of heat, and you can definitely hear the laptop’s internal fans spin up. I was building a docking station setup for the laptop, and this cooling stand fit perfectly into that setup. The cooling fans have multiple speed settings and connect through USB-C. They do a good job of helping keep the laptop cool under heavier workloads, which is exactly what I bought the stand for. One of my favorite features is the adjustable height. I use mine at a kitchen table, and I can raise and angle it so that the laptop screen is directly at eye level. Instead of constantly looking down at the screen, I can sit comfortably and look straight ahead, which makes a big difference when I’m using the laptop for extended periods. The adjustable joints are also impressively sturdy. They take some effort to move, which is a good thing in this case. Once you put them where you want them, they stay there, even under the weight of the laptop. There’s no sagging or slowly slipping out of position. Overall, this has been a great addition to my laptop docking setup. It helps with cooling, puts the screen at a comfortable viewing height, and is sturdy enough to confidently hold a performance laptop. Five stars from me.

I’ve been using this laptop cooling stand with a detachable thermoelectric cooler for awhile now, and overall, I’m really impressed with its performance. The cooling system works exactly as advertised. There are two settings: the 5W mode, which I tested first, lowers the temperature of the semiconductor cooler to 53°F from my room temperature of 72°F. Then there’s the 20W mode, which is even more powerful, cooling the semiconductor down to a chilly 37°F. For my laptop and even my iPhone during fast charging, this has been a game-changer for preventing overheating. I even tested it by placing my phone on the cooling pad when it got too hot, and it worked to cool it down quickly. The stand itself is solid and built to last. It feels heavy-duty and stable, making it perfect for daily use at home or in the office. However, it’s a bit bulky and not ideal for travel, but you can detach the cooling pad. If you’re someone who needs to frequently take your stand on the go, the weight might be a drawback, but I don’t mind leaving it on my desk for regular use. The design is sleek, and the cooling system includes RGB lights that add a nice touch. The fan isn’t overly loud in 5W mode, but it does make a bit of noise when set to the higher 20W setting—though nothing that would be disruptive in a typical office setting. The inclusion of a USB Type-C cable and a USB-A to Type-C adapter gives you flexibility in how to power it. In summary, this cooling stand is an excellent choice for anyone who experiences laptop overheating, especially during intensive tasks. It does its job well and looks great doing it, but the weight and size may not make it ideal for those who need portability. Highly recommended for those who primarily use their laptops at home or in the office!

It is a sturdy metal built. A little bit heavy but consider it’s a metal product it is expected. I love the 360 rotation and adjustable angle make it easy to use, just put it on the desk and adjust as needed. Metal sheet cooling pad is a great design and is more effective to my setup. What I don’t like is the fan air flower. Typically I was expecting an exhaust fan flow blowing out the heat but this one is the intake fan bringing air towards the laptop. If you have the necessary skills and don’t care about the warranty, you can reverse the fan and get a better cooling performance imo.

The stand is heavy metal, so it won't tip , and it's tight so it won't change position during computer use. Care should be taken to fit the lower edge of the laptop to the two brackets at the lower edge of the stand. My 15.6 HP has an angled bottom edge that can slip. Plugged into my laptop for power, the stand reduced the heat coming from the laptop's own cooling areas. With an after-market 20W plug, it would have an even stronger effect. It is easy to set up and attach the cooling device. No tools needed, but some are provided if the hinges are too tight. They were not for me and I like the reassurance of the tightness and the weight of the base. The cooling is quiet. I can hear my laptop fan, not the METFUT fan. For the price on Amazon, this stand is more solid and stronger than I expected.

The unboxing videos were nice, but they ignore the key issue: does it cool your laptop? I did an experiment, running my laptop for at least 5 minutes in each case, and waiting a few minutes between each treatment to allow it to stabilize: Idle: 48.0 deg C Working (4 cores at 100%), no external cooling: 64.8 deg C Working (4 cores at 100%), $15 laptop fan: 67.2 deg C Working (4 cores at 100%), "METFUT" cooling stand: 77.6 deg C (I converted the temperatures to deg F in the image.) It sucks! It's actually *worse* than using nothing at all! My guess is because the device's fans are blocking the laptop's intakes. These fans are supposed to spin at 2400 rpm, which sounds like a lot, but I could barely feel them. In fact, I had to hold them up to my face to feel anything. Supposedly, the cooling comes from the thermoelectric device, which indeed becomes immediately cool. But to work, it either needs to be in contact with the hot parts, or it needs to cool air before it's blown in. The fans, as I said, are impotent. Contact with the laptop bottom doesn't work because the laptop is built with plastic, which has horrible thermal conductivity. So it's a neat parlor trick, but you could get two fan-only devices for the price of this and at least believe something is happening. I was using the plug-in mode (not the less powerful USB mode), so it was getting maximum power. For all of you making review videos, please evaluate products for the problem they are supposed solve. Anything else is a gimmick.

This laptop stand has much better flexibility than those I’ve used in the past. Ready to give the old ones to a new user! I like that there are two adjustment points and a turntable for movement. That way I can get my camera angle just right for meetings. I use an older laptop provided by my work and some tasks really make it get hot. I can use the cooling fan when I know I will need it and it keeps the laptop fan from kicking on so much. It is well weighted and will not tip over while having a smaller footprint on my desk than my previous one. The fan is usb powered and adjustable so you ca put it where it is needed for the specific laptop you have. I plug it into the power hub I use.

I’m sure it cools well enough, but I haven't used it yet. I’m more annoyed that the assembly of this product didn’t come with clear instructions. The QR code showed no directions of the ACTUAL. process of attaching the “spring form” screws to attach the cooler to the stand. The tools that were included served NO purpose at all. Even to attach the cooler in the marginal way we did required 2 people (4 hands). It would have been exceedingly helpful to have had the eyes of an eagle and hands the size of a fly. We found it impossible to keep the spring in the assembly. All of the assembly pieces hit the floor a minimum of once to 5 times. When we eliminated the springs, it helped some, but due to the size of the screw head being too small to hold to the orifices of each piece together with Pugh falling through the use of the “spring holder” was a forced hand.

This is my first time using a laptop cooling pad, as I’ve only used a basic stand before. The thermoelectric cooling seems to make a noticeable difference—I could feel the laptop cooling down fairly quickly compared to just using a stand. I like that the cooler can be detached when it’s not needed, so it still works well as a regular stand. It feels sturdy and stable, and I appreciate that it’s adjustable and swivels, which makes it easy to get a comfortable setup. The fans are also very quiet. Overall, it’s been a nice upgrade from a basic laptop stand.

I just want to say that this cooler stand is one of the best I've used. It's sturdy, solid and balanced. The thermoelectric cooler has a spectacular cooling effect, especially for gaming laptops. I would say this stand is best suited for 14/15 inch laptops. I have an ASUS G14 and can clearly notice a difference in performance when using the cooler. The 5W mode is efficient for productivity task and daily work, and the 20W is better used under heavy gaming or rendering but it requires a separate cable + capable adapter. Another one up is for the vendor who sent me a brand new replacement (attached) when my cooler's right fan had developed a noticeable buzz to it. I thought they would send me a replacement part for the fan, but they sent me a whole new unit, exceeding my expectations with this product. Thank you!

I bought this for my sons and am really impressed by it's design. I have another from office but a different brand so I can do see the difference. The rotating feature is definitely a game changer I see how much my son enjoy this. Also this helps for his bodys posture. The semiconductor fan is unbelievable cold. ❄️. Overall feel is very sturdy .Defintely a Great buy!
