Sturdy, well made, reflective
These markers are used to support potted plants, I use them for young citrus and cypress trees, as well as tomatoes. They work great, and are so much better suited for this than plastic coated steel that’s generally used for this, also better than bamboo. But these are sturdy and unlike other brands the reflective tape is secure, for those using them for their intended purpose. I will use them in a snow storm to mark our driveway but I doubt we’ll get enough snow here in south Florida. Also the finish is better and won’t cause fiberglass splinters like some competitors

Use gloves to install
Some of the poles are rough with unfinished spots instead of having a smooth finish. The first two I installed were fine, but I gained a handful of fiberglass splinters on the third one. I took a star off for that reason. They are easy to install and work as designed and look like they will hold up for a good while. I used them to mark a driveway near a pond. I also use them to mark my trees and things in the yard so dear husband, who is oblivious to them, doesn't run them down with the mower. Rose bushes will only come back so many times. Mine came back 12 times before it decided it wasn't worth the effort. Ha Ha! I'm still sad about my young lilac bushes. He says he can really see these markers, so we will see if the new plantings are safer. I also have very new drivers so I marked some things to make sure they don't back into them.

Subtle and effective - just what I wanted
If you are looking to boldly mark your driveway with large vibrant-colored markers, these are not for you! These are just 36 inches high (so figure 30-32" after you drive them into the ground, dark green in color (which blends in with everything around our house), and a sharp reflective white band near the top. I wanted something more subtle, though easy enough to see at night and through the snowdrifts. We recently received nearly two feet of snow and just the tops are sticking out now, but once you get the path cleared, you don't really need to see the markers anymore as you can clearly see where it was last plowed. One of the kids hit a marker that was frozen into the ground and it did cause a break in the fiberglass. It will need to be cut and sharpened to re-use or we will just replace next year. They're not terribly expensive, so replacing one here or there isn't that big of a deal. A snowplow or even a snowblower going over a bit of landscaping can cause a lot of unnecessary damage. These markers have been an inexpensive solution to that problem.

Stands up to the hazards of winter
These were purchased as replacements for similar markers that were over 20 years old. Because they are fiberglass I have a spike I use to open the ground where I want them placed, and as they are made of fiberglass, I place them in the ground opening with gloves, and tamp the ground around them. They reflect the edging of road meets lawn, and has saved us from having to repair the property from snowplow damage, best of all they stay all in place wall winter and snap back upright after the force of snow against them. I think having to replace them after 20 years is a good investment for the money.

thin, flexible, but gets the job done. Durability TBD
These are thinner than others I bought elsewhere, but the price is lower too, so the trade off may be OK for you. Due to their light build and flex, As i tap them in, they dont go straight into the ground in every case. A small rock or a root is enought to deflect the tip and cause it to drive off angle. They are easy to re-set in a straight position. Drive caps are plastic and dont hold up well, my others (from the HD store) are many years old and the drive caps are metal, still going strong.Overall OK.
