Great brakes, great price
Ordered these after searching the typical box stores for aftermarket parts for my Prius V. I went to their website in order to do a part number cross-reference to ensure I was ordering the right thing from Amazon, and indeed it was correct, as indicated by Amazon's website, and that they fit my vehicle specifically. The brakes I ordered were vented, cross-drilled, and was a complete 4-wheel kit with pads, rotors, and hardware for the service brakes (does not include parking brakes). The seller contacted me and insisted I verify the make/model information, to which I complied with as complete information as I could muster, and they confirmed the kit I requested was in fact correct for my vehicle's application. I received them relatively fast, and the only down-side to the delivery experience was that UPS didn't leave the package. However, I have a UPS store right next door to my apartment, and was able to retrieve them without an issue. The total manifest weight was over 60lbs, so yes, I was hoping these could make it to my door, but this may have been the issue. Might have been too heavy for UPS to carry to a 2nd floor apartment. As for fitment, perfect! These brake rotors are covered with a rust protectant paint and is designed to wear off where the pads run, which is what i wanted. I live on the southern east coast near the ocean, and didn't want rust to be a thing. Installation went very smoothly, and after about 100 miles of stop-n-go traffic, the protectant paint wore off where it should have, and the brakes quieted down, and are stopping effectively. As for cost, the entire set was less than half of what it would have cost me to pick these up at Autozone, and I'm quite satisfied thus far. No long term information can be provided at this time, but on a Prius, brakes should last from 50k to nearly 100k miles. I'm curious as to how long these will last, and how they will wear. Looking forward to finding out. Great service, thanks!

Impressive, affordable brakes
Very impressed with the quality and performance of these brakes. Perfect fit on my 2014 Ram 2500. There was no break in procedure I could find for these specifically, so I did some generic heat cycling and seems to have worked great. I may update this review once I have some decent miles on them, but so far I’m very happy and surprised how affordable they are.

Toyota tundra
I’m very pleased with the brakes — they perform exceptionally well, provide strong stopping power, and everything fit perfectly during installation. Overall, I’m very impressed with the quality. The only item that may need slight adjustment is the spring that holds the pads in place. It appears to be slightly oversized for the Tundra caliper, so I reused the original springs without issue. I did have one question regarding the rotor slot direction. I noticed the front rotors are slotted opposite from the rear. I followed the labeling during installation, but I was curious about the reasoning behind that configuration. I haven’t experienced any issues, so I assume it’s correct — I just wanted to confirm. Also, I wish it came with more brake grease and directions I had to YouTube everything. It would definitely be great when understanding the slot direction because YouTube has conflicting info.

Good quality rotors. Not for race cars.
I bought this kit to replace the OEM brakes on my Mazda 5. I think it also fits the regular Mazda 3 (non-Mazdaspeed). Shipping was as expected. Box was a little beat up since it was so heavy (all four rotors and all pads were in their individual packaging, but all placed into a single shipping box) Nothing inside was banged up at all. I won't speak to the performance of these compared to more legitimate performance brakes like brembo, etc. I don't have experience with those. Drilled and slotted rotors for the street are really not necessary. Nobody should be driving like that on an open public road, anyway. These will probably not stop your car much faster than anything else. Maybe they will stay a little cooler than non-slotted or non-drilled, but it's irrelevant for the street. With that said, they are good quality rotors and pads. I bought the Elite series (all black), because I mostly wanted the corrosion protection of the coating. The wearing surface of the rotor breaks in quickly, and you will see the familiar steel surface in just a few miles. The look really good, and the wheels on your 5 will show them off nicely. Not too gaudy or over the top. Everything fit just fine. No problems whatsoever on installation. They might make a little more noise than OEM, but that will be the case for any rotor that is slotted or drilled. Just remember before starting your project that the rear calipers require a tool to compress AND turn the piston back into the cylinder. The harbor freight compression (Item#69053) kit works PERFECTLY and will keep you from cursing and possibly hurting yourself with those needle nose pliers you were going to try. Also, use some good brake parts cleaner to remove any oil from the rotor surface. There is some. I recommend this kit. If you want to stop faster, you could probably buy more aggressive pads. For the rest of us who drive spiritedly only on occasion and want to improve the look of our brakes without making it look cheap, this kit is great.

Perfect and look good.
So far so good, They look great and work perfectly. At first there was a slight vibration but realized they needed to break in, take it slow at first with no hard stops. After about 10 miles driving like a grandmother they seated in properly.

Great Customer Service and Product Quality
I bought this complete set for my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon in Sept 2016. There were a few negative reviews, but I opted in based on the price and what I read on the Max Brakes web site. 1). Due to 'other duties as assigned' (ie master bath remodel for the house commander) I didn't get around to the install until mid January. Fronts were a perfect fit, but ran in to issues with the rear; one rotor was incorrect, the 5 lug pattern was too small. 2) Called Max Brakes on a Monday at 3ish Pacific time. The automated receptionist indicated that I had to e-mail them through Amazon for any Amazon purchase. I thought 'oh great, this'll take forever.' Got an e-mail later the same day from J/C in their customer service; J/C asked for photos of the incorrect rotor and the part number stamped on it. 3) The next day, Tuesday, J/C e-mails and thanks me for the photos and says its been sent for review. By close of business I was advised that the incorrect rotor they shipped would be warrantied and they would advise when a replacement would be on the way. 4). First thing Weds I get an e-mail notification that the new rotor was on the way and they were not going to make me go through the hassle of shipping the Incorrect one back. That's extraordinary customer service. Once installed, as with ANY brake job you do, you must burnish the pads and rotors. Every brake part mfr and every engineer with an automotive mfr will tell you this is a must. I followed their simple guidelines and have extremely quiet and effective braking. There is a definite improvement in the feel vs stock. When you order these, and if you've read this far I'm recommending you do, provide Max Brakes with all the details on your vehicke they ask for. I'm not suggesting you'll have problems, but they are very good at taking care of you as long as you've given them the info they need to complete your order. If I think about it, I'll post periodic feedback on performance and life.

Wow, what a difference
Installed these on my Ford Fusion and the increased stopping force was amazing. Did all 4 wheels and followed the detailed break in procedure and am very satisfied. It took a while to get used to how well they stop with minimum pedal force. What I was concerned about was the heavy black coating that needed to be burnished off during break in and subsequent driving. It did not appear to have any ill affects but still I had to wonder. The other is I was unaware of direction of slots and there no instructions indicating left or right rotors, so after the install I soon realized the fronts probably should have been installed on opposite sides. Good stuff and I would by again

Great quality
Wanted to tryout these. They were getting mostly positive feedback throughout reviews. I'm impressed. Have now bought some for my son's car and will do the same for my daughter's car fairly soon. Everything fits in well, nice smooth braking. I used proper anti-squeal paste. Still just a tad noisy when cold, but this can happen with many brand. And no, they do not stay black.
