Best lightweight lip balm EVER
Ok so I just got this yesterday and I'm already in love with it. I don't know about everyone else, but I have had a surprisingly hard time finding a lip balm that actually feels like it hydrates/moisturizes my lips. Most tend to my my lips feel ok right after applying, but within the hour they'll feel dry again and often leave a really gross, gunky residue. This balm absorbs so well and leaves my lips feeling absolutely amazing. I seriously can't remember the last time that they felt this good. And no gross flavor or scent to boot! For winter weather, I highly recommend Jack Black Intense Therapy as it's the only balm I've found so far that effectively protects my lips without leaving white gunk and has spf, but it's kind of heavy and I was looking for something for night time/indoor use and this stuff is PERFECT. Also, while the Jack Black balm does protect my lips from further dryness and heal them to some extent, I really can't emphasize enough that my lips have NEVER felt as soft, silky, plump and all around lovely as after using the hyalogic!!! I'm glad that it doesn't have spf since I don't want or need that at night/indoors, but if they made a version with it I'd use it all summer long!!! If anyone from the company happens to read this please consider doing that!!! Oh, and it's also a really sizable amount for the price :)UPDATE (1/30/15):Still using this lip balm and its great. In fact, I'm still using the same one that I purchased about 10 months ago. I used to have very dry lips pretty consistently, particularly in the winter, but it hasn't been as much of a problem this season and I just realized why: I switched to SLS free toothpaste last summer. I just realized this because I ran out of the toothpaste I'd switched to and bought a normal one because they don't sell the SLS-free kind in my neighborhood and I was like it probably doesn't matter anyway. Wrong. I just brushed my teeth and only a few minutes later I looked in the mirror and noticed that my lips were a peeling disaster out of nowhere. Put on some of this lip balm and they are feeling a lot better already. But I thought I'd post this here since I'm guessing that most people considering fancy lip balms might also benefit from switching to SLS-free toothpaste. If anyone is interested, the toothpaste I'd switched to (and will switch back to ASAP) was Sensodyne Pronamel and the CVS brand knock off of it. I think I didn't realize when I switched that it made such a big difference because it was over the summer when I generally have much less of a problem with lip hydration anyway. Anyhow, I still recommend this lip balm very highly and if you have a serious problem with dry lips and aren't already using SLS-free toothpaste, definitely give it a try!

My New Favorite Lip Balm
This is the only product that has ever replaced Rose Bud Salve as my go-to favorite lip balm. My dentist applied some during a procedure when my lips started getting dry. She said they had done tons of research before they decided to use this product in their office. It felt so soothing that I immediately ordered some. I noticed right away that it felt smoother and lighter than my historically favorite Rose Bud Salve, with virtually no scent. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive lips and I don’t have to reapply nearly as often. I can even make it through the night without reapplying and wake up with moisturized, soft lips. I tried the stick version and it’s ok, but not as good as the jar. It only takes a little bit to moisturize my lips. I still like my Rose Bud Salve, but I almost solely use HA Lip Balm. I have jars all over the house and in my handbag. It took a special lip product to bump my 20 year favorite out of the top spot.

BEST LIP INGREDIENTS IN A JAR
Although this balm deserves 5 stars, I deducted one as it is not available in a "travel stick" version! Living in the "high humidity" south, winter still leaves me with dry semi chapped lips so I went looking for a solution. So far I'm impressed with Episilk Lip Balm, it leaves my lips soft without being tacky/sticky and lipstick goes on smoothly over it. After a little online research on the best key ingredients for soft lips [hyaluronic acid and Shea butter], I found it. As this formula has both plus a few others to boot.

Hydrated Lips,
I love this stuff. My lips are very hydrated which makes them not disappear. I'm at that age. 😁 I use it every night at bedtime & put it on thickly. No scent, which I love. My dog would steal my lip balms that had scents! She loved to eat them! Hyalogic is nicely priced, too.

Shattered Hopes But Not A Total Loss
Ive actually been window shopping this product for a long time. I've always had extremely dry lips and this fall I found the issue reaching new heights when my bottom lip basically peeled off in one big piece. I own every drugstore lip balm that exists and I noticed that while oils and bases may vary, none of them really has something the rest don't. That's why the hyaluronic acid in this excited me. That's something I haven't tried for my poor lips. So I finally ordered it with great expectations.Immediately it has a lot of good stuff going on. It's size is great, it's about as big as a facial mosturizer rather than a lip pot. That in and of itself makes the 8 dollar price tag a great deal. Then you open it and it is a nice solid that slicks up beautifully, like kind of like coconut oil but not drippy. I've had hyaluronic acid serums before and I found them to be inconvenient as a liquid, this is a lot better. And the product definitely mositurizes. In fact it plumps them and smooths out lines. It works really well before matte lipstick because of that. But, I was really heartbroken after wearing it for a few minutes. It says fragrance free and everything, but it stinks. It's a very subtle but pernicious chemical smell reminiscent of dollar store lip glosses we all got as kids. At first it's not too bad but it is right up under your nose and for me it becomes too much to bear. And so in order to use it I have to slick a scented lip product over it. That's not so bad, but it is certainly really a bummer. It makes it kind of annoying to carry around because you have to have this AND something else and apply both at the same time. If they had just added a drop of peppermint scent or anything in it you'd never smell the slight odor but they didn't.But, if you have really chapped lips, the hassle is worth it. And it's still a really effective product. I actually use it as a cuticle conditioner too and it is amaaaaazing for that, I'll buy it again as a cuticle conditioner. It's very hydrating but very light and absorbing. Perfect for nails and and cuticles. And I still do use on my lips sometimes, especially if I'm doing a thick night time lip mask to cover it up.

BYE BYE CRACKED, CHAPPED LIPS!
I have extremely dry, chapped, and cracked lips during the colder months, and aquaphor and Vaseline used to work well for me, but in the past year, dedicated use day & night has not been sufficient. I was so confused as to why my lips were suffering so badly this winter, even with applying aquaphor and Vaseline religiously and continuously throughout the day and night. I did some research and both of those products are occlusives, which lock in moisture, but I was missing a humectant, or a product that adds water to the skin. So I went on a hunt trying to find a good lip balm that was fragrance free, had hyaluronic acid in it (the humectant), and had no ingredients that could irritate already chapped lips like menthol, camphor, etc. This product was highly rated and checked all the boxes, so I decided to give it a go, and wow, did it deliver. The key is to put this balm on, wait 5-10 minutes for it to sink into the lips, then immediately apply Vaseline or Aquaphor over top to seal in the moisture. Within 2 days, all the cracked skin healed. This isn’t just a quick fix though - you need to continue this regime every day/night until whatever is causing your chapped lips subsides, but it does work well and you should feel relief within a day or two. Definitely worth the buy and will repurchase once the tube is used up. They also have a stick version of this balm, but I prefer the jar.

Works great! Zero scent!
Really happy with this, natural ingredients. Actually moisturizes versus Vaseline or aquaphor that just glides on top, this provides real moisture. I have noticed a difference after a few days. It has zero scent. And provides a very subtle natural sheen, it’s not too shiny. 5 stars very happy with this

I'd take a bath in this stuff if I could!
I reviewed this marvelous balm many months ago and I still love it. I have chronic dry lips and they peel like a snake sheds its skin. Lipsticks make it worse. I have found so much relief with Episilk. I scoop it out and put it tiny jars to keep in my purse, on my bedside table, beside my makeup vanity and everywhere I spend time. I massage it into my lips before applying my lipstick and dab it on throughout the day. It is very light in texture, not oily or waxy. It has no scent or taste that I can detect. It is just soothing. The Hyalogic acid that causes it to feel so good is that it attracts the water in your skin and actually has made my lips visibly fuller. It lasts a long time so it is a good value. I am so glad I found this wonderful balm. I definately recommend it to anyone experiencing dry lips.

ganz normales Lippenbalsam vergleichbar mit Labello. Sonst passiert auch nach längerer Anwendung nichts. Es ist auch keine zusätzliche Geschmeidigkeit der Lippen zu erkennen

Great product - price has jumped - and is it Cruelty-Free?
I love this. It’s very moisturising on my severely dry lips. Some people say it doesn’t plump - well to see the effects you really need to slather it on and leave it overnight, and it doesn’t plump and the effects last. I use it nightly and definitely see a difference. Sadly the price seems to have jumped about four-fold in the last six months. Also I cannot get any sense out of he company when I ask about whether they have a stance on testing products on animals. They ought to liaise with a recognised mark if they want to claim it is Cruelty-Free and charge these prices.

Balsamo labbra
