I ordered these about 6 weeks ago and have gone through an entire A and B case. They were all fresh and sealed well. Contents were all in good shape. I have not had many MREs before other than a few given to me by friends in the service when I was younger. So getting to eat through the whole menu was fun. The entrees are all mostly like 5/10 but the snacks and desserts are all REALLY GOOD !! I was shocked at the quality of the snacks. The pound cake is so good and those choc chip cookies have me jonesing for more. The cheese and crackers was probably my favorite - I remember getting crackers from an MRE when i was a kid in the 80s and they tasted just like I remember. I initially bought 4 cases (2 A, 2B) and will be buying more to keep around for emergencies or road trips. I would keep them in a cooler if storing them in a car in the summer. Condiments/TP I'm no connoisseur but the coffee wasn't terrible - I don't use creamer so idk about that. There is sometimes even a tiny Tabasco bottle or a dehydrated hot sauce pack in there too! The TP is functional but you will want to stack and alternate sheets at 90 degree angles to make it usable. I wish I had access to these when I was in the Scouts. would have been way better to take with me on hiking and camping trips. At the current price (about $40/case) this works out to $3.33/MRE which is an insanely good price/calorie. The only thing to watch out for is the amount of sugar in the drinks. As a rather stagnant middle-aged guy I don't need a zillion empty calories like the young people who are out in the field burning a zillion cals a day in the sun. The chocolate "protein" drink is only 14g protein and 35g sugar. it's great and tastes like hot chocolate but you'll get the beetus if you OD on these.

I bought these for my annual hiking trip with my boys. We have only ever taken freeze dried meals before. Those are very tasty but are becoming very expensive so I thought I’d try these. Not being sure how they would be we took half freeze dried, half MRE’s. The positives: The meals had a huge variety of choices and all kind of snacks, drinks and yummy treats. It was nice that we didn’t need to boil water but sometimes my boys had a hard time getting the heat pad to properly work. I never had an issue. I bought 24 meals and it works out to about $4/meal. That’s a huge savings over the $12ish/meal for the freeze dried hiking meals. The cons: They are much heavier than freeze dried meals and larger, but granted they contain more food. Each packet is around 2lbs I believe. We ate them first on our hike so we could lighten our packs. They have a staggering amount of packaging and thereby a staggering amount of trash that you have to continue carrying while hiking. We learned from a former army guy on our hike that it’s best to “field strip” the meals at home and eliminate some of the packaging. That’s a great idea! I think bringing a 2 gallon ziplock bag would be good to store the trash so you can flatten it and remove the air. My boys didn’t necessarily love all the food that were in the MRE’s, I thought everything was pretty good. A few meals were eaten cold-ish due to the heat pad not working well but I honestly think that was operator error. I never had an issue getting my food hot. So I’m not sure if we’ll bring them on our hike again next year or not. The price and variety is great but the weight and trash don’t make them ideal for long multi-day hikes.

These are well within date range. They were delivered on time and in great condition. I am a USMC veteran, and these are true authentic military MRE's which are the same that we were issued during deployments and field exercises. I will order more of these in the future with no regrets. I just reach out to those having issues with heater pack to look at some videos on the proper directions for use. I have had no issues with mine, but I do have a good bit of experience using them.

Inspection date is 7/2025 with corresponding code 5207. The contents within are from 7/2022 determined by box code 2210 and bag code 2208. Quality and quantity are correct, however, my meal 2 box did give me a duplicate of menu 19, which sucks for me because I am not a big fan of pepperjack😅. Apart from that mishap which is a simple oversight and the fault of no one but perhaps a very tired packaging working, everything else is good and solid😁. Update: after looking through the menu options from the 2022 packout, I realized my menu 19 duplicate is a possible replacement for the lemon pepper tuna, which is the menu I am missing😅. Maybe the tuna didnt pass the inspection 😅.

In the military, years ago, I get my first MRE in Basic Training, on the day we ran the big obstacle course. That was a fun day, and I was starving by the time we got lunch, so I rather liked it. Later, in the 90's, I got all 12 meals, and eventually got through all of them. Not bad, but not especially delicious. When I saw the whole set was slightly more than $3 each, I decided I'd try them out again. Now with 24 different meals, there is a lot more variety. Wornick is the company that makes these, so you're getting them direct for the source. Also, over the past 50 years, there have been many, many opportunities for improvement to provide a nutritious, edible, shelf-stable meal. Not many companies have nutrition and stability as their primary goals. But they do make the selection better every year. The ingredients are high-quality, for shelf-stable. The meals are well-sized by careful science and constant improvement. Each one come with a chemical heater, so each of these can be a hot meal, even in a disaster area. To my surprise, these are also high fiber, which is something I've been looking for. I'll likely skip out the sugary drink, which I'm sure is fine, because I don't need those calories. But I'll likely have everything else. I'm surprised it's not a vitamin drink. And if I don't eat them quickly, that's fine, that's be a good emergency supply.

These are the true, genuine US Military MREs that are generally the top tier ones you're after but usually impossible to buy legally. I've been looking for some for a while and was very surprised these were on Amazon but figure since they're 2022 menu ones, the government is selling older lots in bulk as surplus rather than check and reuse them on the inspection dates. Pictures show the contents of what was in each A/B case I got, and a photo from the Skittles from one of the menu bags showing these were 2022 items. To anyone concerned about past expiration dates on name brand candy, it means nothing as these are stored in air tight bags in temperature/humidity controlled environments. As long as stored ideally, you'll get at least 10 years out of these with very little degradation. That said, they appear to have been stored exceptionally well. The TTI stickers indicate they've been stored in ideal conditions, and I've been eating menus to test them out before committing to buying more cases. The key indicator for how well a meal has been stored are the squeeze cheese packets, as they're the first to go bad visually if you squeeze them out. In these, they look and taste as new as they likely were when packaged, so huge win there. All around, great value for what you're getting in the condition they're in. My only item of discontent is in the B menu box, there was no Menu 21, and it was substituted for another 19. I've seen other's reviews saying the same, so it appears there may have been a lot where the menu 21 items were bad, or they were just packed that way. In either case, that's not on the seller as these are sealed from where they came from and they have no control over that. Definitely will be buying a few more cases for if and when pooh hits the spinning airmoving blades!

Just like I remember! The chili mac is in there! There were even a few with skittles and m and m’s! Great for camping or play camping in the backyard. The muffins, cookies, applesauces, teriyaki meat sticks and smoked barbecue almonds were delicious and very portable. Overall, a great product!
