It doesn't seem like seeds of Pachouli. It is pricy for little amount of seeds and the quality of the seeds aren’t really good. It took me great amount of effort to let only half of them germinate while the others didn’t have a sign to grow. However, based on the look of the sprouts, it doesn’t seem like Pachouli (which belongs to Lamiaceae family and is typically opposite broad-ovate or elliptical with serrated edges). The sprouts that I grow from the seeds have pinnate compound leaves. This typically belongs to legume family plants. I don’t think these are pachouli seeds. I will wait the plants to grow bigger to confirm.

Seeds were hard to sprout but mine all did. I tried the wet paper towel in a ziplock bag method first. Didn’t work. Had an empty clear Starbucks cup with a lid and out of frustration filled it up with soil. Added water so the soil was very wet. Sprinkled seeds in. Put lid on and left in a window sill. They alllll sprouted!!

The seeds are so tiny one can really tell the count is 30. I followed onstructions with the proper soils and the proper lighting and nothing happened. Save your money and try to get a live plant. I am giving oner star because I do not have a choice of no stars.

It may have taken 6 weeks to germinate but they did! I keep my environment at 85 degrees Fahrenheit with 60-70% humidity and an 18-6 light schedule.

*UPDATE* I am changing my one star review to a four star review, because I think there’s a trick to getting patchouli to germinate and it takes a lot more patience (at least in my experience) than the directions on the packet may indicate. So if you want to grow patchouli, and you haven’t had luck in the past, don’t despair. Originally I planted the tiny seeds in a starter medium, with watering in bottom of tray, and clear plastic “greenhouse” cover. This produced nothing. After several frustrations weeks I gave up, and posted my low review (see below for original). The company sent me a replacement envelope of seeds (for free!) which I appreciated, but was discouraged, so I tossed in my seed box to deal with later. Then I forgot about them. In early March I pulled my seed box out and found the new packet. I put generic herb/veg soil in a terra-cotta planter, carefully poured about a teaspoon of distilled water into the plastic seed envelope, shook gently, then poured the seeds in water on top of the soil. Then I put an old plastic container on top of the pot, and put it on a shelf with a cheap LED reading light on it. Periodically I would mist water on the soil then replace the plastic “lid.” I honestly forgot about my patchouli off and on for well over a month. I’d remember periodically and spritz water on it then promptly forget again. Then one day, I noticed the tiniest green leaves sprouting! It has taken absolutely ages to germinate these seeds, and the plants are growing very slowly, but growing they are!! I cannot tell you how utterly delighted I am to have FINALLY gotten these seeds to grow. :) I have transplanted many of the tiny plants into 3” pots (still misting, still watching carefully, still indoors) and there are still some tiny ones just now getting their true leaves. It’s taken easily over two months to get here. I’ve found that misting water into the clear plastic cover works very well, too. They got about 12 hours of weak LED light daily. It might take patience, but stick with it! Don’t give up if the seeds haven’t germinated within a few weeks. Hang in there! (Originally gave one star) None sprouted at all. :( I followed the directions and normally have a green thumb, but these were very disappointing.

Seeds came in fine but I have tried 3 different ways to plant them & none of the seeds I planted have sprouted within 3 to 4 weeks of them being planted & they were supposed to show in 2 to 3 weeks. It's now been more than 6 weeks & no luck with these seeds.
