Bright, Easy to Use, and Reliable
These bulbs were very easy to set up with the Tapo app and connected to Wi-Fi without any issues. They get really bright, and I love being able to adjust both the color and brightness depending on the mood. The app is simple to use, and scheduling works great. Just read instructions carefully, so you get how to set it up (💡: you need to switch to flicker mode). They’ve been reliable so far and are a great value compared to other smart bulbs.

Buy these
After my Sengled bulbs stopped working, I decided to try these Tapo TP-Link smart bulbs, and I’m glad I made the switch. Setup was incredibly easy—probably the smoothest experience I’ve had with smart bulbs. Using Alexa, I was able to set up 8 bulbs in less than 20 minutes, and they all connected on the first try without any hassle. The brightness is excellent at 1100 lumens, making them a true 75W equivalent. Rooms that used to feel a little dim are now well lit, and the dimming feature works perfectly for creating different moods. The 16 million color options are vibrant and fun to experiment with, and the white tones range from warm and cozy to bright and cool, which is great for both relaxing and working. Another big plus is that they’re Matter-certified, so they integrate seamlessly not just with Alexa but also with Siri and Google Home. That future-proofs them and gives me confidence they’ll stay compatible long-term. Overall, these bulbs are reliable, bright, versatile, and very easy to use. After dealing with other brands that were inconsistent, these have been a refreshing upgrade. Highly recommend them for anyone building out a smart home.

Awesome for Matter Enabled Homes
Put the light in the socket, turned it on, opened Google Home and scanned the bar code sticker in the box. Done. No additional third party apps or accounts needed. It throws a lot of light. I can put two in my ceiling lamp and it feels like the sun. Claims to be a 75 watt equivalent. I'd say it's plenty of light for most things. Can also dim and change both color and color temperature. I told Google to turn my kitchen light blue and it did. Features all work in automation too. At roughly 10 us dollars per bulb, it's a little pricey for a light bulb, but way cheaper than a dimmable smart plug and surprisingly entertaining. Feels like a plastic light bulb in terms of quality. I had zero fear when installing. Seems to be standard in size to the common household light bulb. I can't speak for durability as I just turned it on and off a few times, but it did work, flawlessly with Google Home, out of the box, so it's a winner. 10/10. Will buy again.

Good, not as bright as I’d like, and dramatic.
Good bulbs, pairing is easy, but not as bright as I’d like. Supposed to be 1100lm, but I have some 800lm ge bulbs that are brighter. I got these for my ceiling light, since I wanted it to be brighter than my lamp. Results were disappointing. Also, they're dramatic. Alexa shows them as "Device disconnected" if I don't activate them with a degree of regularity. They turn on every time, but that showing disconnected, that's annoying to me.

Easy peasey with this Matter certified bulbs and easy app that works with google.
These bulbs work great and replaced other smart bulbs that continued to lose pairing with google home. The matter certified and their app works great and much better than a prior purchase which was not matter certified and where the app and blue tooth were a problem for me to get working. I returned the prior purchase and used these to replace 3 year old bulbs that kept losing their pair or their app was not very smart!

A worthy upgrade from Phillips hue
Theyre extremely bright at max power. The colors are great and very modular. The connection is solid, I rarely have issues with them not responding or disconnecting. Most often, if there is an issue, one bulb takes a few seconds longer than the other to respond. Far far far better than my old phillips hue lights.

It's important to know EVERYTHING.
Seem to work... A mention beforehand: I have a few other TP-Link items at home: Bulbs and plugs, plus a few other items that are not TP-link. These were set up using the Kasa Home app. (Plus those "few other" item apps.) All Alexa friendly. Was replacing a years-old smart-bulb. I think the electronics died? Tapo seems to have replaced TP-Link. So... I screwed in the bulb, bulb flashed, fired up Kasa home - and it did not find the bulb. So much for a quick lunch-time install... (But after the first time, yeah, you can expect it to go that fast.) There's a new app... Downloaded the Tapo app during the afternoon . Back at home again, the Taco app recognized my Kasa ID, asked for the password. I didn't have it at hand, so I just re-set it. Tapo app knew Kasa, brought in all my toys, and even the previous electric usage. I then powered up that first bulb again - no 'we are here!' flashes this time. App said can't find it. I even tried the on/off reset process* on the bulb. Nothing OK... I tried starting fresh with the second bulb. (I think I hit 'back' on the app to get here?) Same thing. Baffled, I pressed "Quit Set-up". It basically said "Really? You're almost done." I said "Yeah. Really." Didn't know what other option to try.... So it quit set-up - and then it pops up a "I found a light bulb!" window on the main screen. (I didn't consciously notice at that moment, but it had labeled that found bulb as 'Light Bulb 2'.) It allowed me to rename it, and it/I was done**. Then I noticed there was also a 'Light Bulb 1' installed. It had apparently found that first one somehow, during whatever it/I did. * Reset was described differently in two places: One said off/on 5x, with two seconds between each - I took that literally, tried that. off/on, 2 secs, off/on, 2 secs, etc. Didn't work - and the other said 1 second, but said do this between ALL actions. off, wait, on, wait, off, wait, on, wait - five times - which didn't get me the 'set-up' flash, either. **After it is set up in Tapo, you probably need to check settings (names) in the Alexa App. Alexa had somehow picked up both new devices, as 'Light Bulb 1' and 'Light Bulb 2', during all this: Was checking Alexa after that second bulb seemed to successfully install in Taco. That's when/how I realized ~both~ bulbs had been successfully set up. I just opened set-up for both and updated the Alexa names to match the Taco names. Another note: My Samsung S9+, with Android11 - old, like me - does not link the Alexa account with the Tapo account. (I think that's a 'skill' thing?) Which means I no longer/do not have full functionality of the smart items via Alexa, at the moment. (Used to work...) But they do show up, and they turn on and off. Anything other settings (dim/color.) need to be done via the app. Need Android12+. I guess it's finally new phone time...

Nice Smart bulb, lots of options and color/white light choices. Easy set up too.
Smart multi color/tunable white light bulbs with easy set up. Used the app to install the lights and set the routine best for my house. Have had these types of bulbs for years and have been pleased with them. Have has most bulbs for several years and they have been dependable, good lifespan. The price for these seems to be very reasonable, not much more than a regular bulb. These are also compatible with Alexa and Google. You can use the app to adjust all sorts of settings, most of mine are set on a schedule so I rarely have to issue a voice or app command. Just set them and forget about them.

Easy Matter setup
These are my first Matter light bulbs and I'm impressed by how easy they were to set up and use compared to any other home automation items I've installed. Setup with Smarthings and Google Home was a piece of cake. They probably do emit 1100 lumens, but only at a narrow spectrum white level. Any tint or color noticeably reduces the light output. But when set up for maximum bright whiteness these are much brighter than any other variable color smart bulb I've ever tried.
