40g of Live Water Kefir Grains - Certified Organic from Kombuchaorganic XLarge Sachet UKAS Lab tested - Great VALUE and Outstanding and Unique Quality Cultures

I have been making milk kefir for about a year now and wanted to try water kefir. I got my milk kefir grains from Kombucaorganic which are amazing, so I decided to use them again for Water Kefir grains. With Water Kefir it is much harder to see when the water is fermented or if the grains are actually working. Well untill you try opening a bottle after a second ferment, then it's very obvious as you can see in my video. These grains are great they have already grown by 20% in the first week! I just use tap water (after being left in fridge open for 12 to 24 hours whilst the fluride disperses,) plain sugar and a small amount of molasses sugar (1/4 of overall sugar) The taste of this is amazing and I'm really enjoying experimenting with different flavours like lemon, strawberry, plum and blackberry (all foraged or from our vegetable garden so no pesticides, you could also use supermarket organic fruit) I would recommend, great company and great grains!

I didn't really know what to expect, having never attempted brewing kefir before, but these grains are producing 2 large containers of kefir every 24 hours or so and the 2nd ferment is very fizzy after another 24 hours. The grains have multiplied and expanded to about 5 times the size or more in less than a week! I'm not sure whether I just continue with them as is or try to give some away. I'm worried I won't be feeding them enough! I started with 4 dessert spoons of sugar dissolved in a bit of water and the rest with coconut water with a handful of sultanas from day 1. They seem to love it. The resultant drink is slightly fruity, slightly tangy and slightly alcoholic tasting! Lovely if you don't like things too sweet, like me.

Very happy with these. Fed with spring water and organic sugar, they didn't take long to come to life. We've already enjoyed our first batch of fizzy pop.

So far so good. As I’ve never tasted kefir before, so it’s a bit difficult to say whether this brand is great. Whilst the grains have worked first time, I was not very impressed with the size. They were more like crumbs than grains. I’m hoping they will improve with use. Otherwise they are ok as they actually work. It would have been good to have more information on second fermentation.

Definitely not that chunky, look a bit miserable compared to the picture, but they become good in time with care, so it's fine. Just lying about the condition of the grains is not fine.

The instructions say try 3 or 4 times before the grains are fully awake. Don't be sceptical. It takes a few runs but boy are they lively then.

I'm not stone-cold new to water kefir, and have made made tasty bottles this summer before doing something silly (tried straight mango juice) and killed my existing guys. So I tried this supplier since it was from Kombuchaorganic that I also got my milk kefir grains-- and they are spectacular. No problems whatsoever after about three months or so. Of course I followed instructions to the letter, and gave them a fair shake over the best part of a week or so, but no dice!! Why sis I switch from the other vendor of the water keffir grains? #1 because Kombuchaorganic's milk grains are great, and #2 they were offering 40g instead of ten for the same price. Maybe these guys died in transit? Who knows, but I'm not super-pleased, as you might imagine.

Le colis est arrivé très rapidement, avant la date prévue. Les grains ont une joli couleur blanc , de bonne taille. Je prépare un litre tous les 2 jours, avec une tranche de citron avec la peau, une figue séchée, un abricot sec et une cuillère à soupe de sucre roux, tous les ingrédients bio. Ils se sont bien développés, ont grandi en taille et le goût de la boisson est très agréable et désaltérant par la chaleur.

Ottimi e vitali... Consiglio di non consumare la prima produzione ma d utilizzarla solo come bagno per riattivare i grani 😉

Tuve problemas con la recepción del envío y con la cantidad de su contenido que entiendo que por error humano no cumplían la descripción de la web, pero lo resolvieron volviéndome a enviar un segundo envío sin coste alguno de una forma muy rápida. I grani sono arrivati in perfetto stato, nei tempi indicati. Li ho messi già in produzione r stanno reagendo bene. Le istruzioni sono in inglese ma molto chiare. Ottimo prodotto, grazie.
