I searched so many tiffin boxes for my husband. Finally I ended up buying this one . It’s the traditional one without any hassles or hanky panky styling. It’s simple and effective. Gravy items don’t spill and food remains hot for 5-6 hrs . The boxes are quite big so i put rice n veggies in one box , dal/ gravy item in the second and chapati n salad in the third one . I loved it . Price is also reasonable n affordable. Packing was also good , came in a perfect condition. ❤️Milton❤️

I purchased the Milton stainless steel container with high expectations, trusting the brand’s reputation for durable and reliable household products. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been extremely disappointing. The container fails to deliver on the very basics it claims—durability, leak-proof design, and stainless-steel quality. What should have been a simple, reliable container for daily use turned into a source of constant inconvenience. Build Quality Issues The first thing I noticed was the flimsy nature of the steel used. Unlike other stainless steel products that feel sturdy and long-lasting, this container feels thin and weak. Within just a few uses, the surface developed small dents from normal handling. I even noticed light scratches and dullness appearing far too quickly. For a product marketed as stainless steel, I expected a premium, rust-free finish. Shockingly, small rust spots appeared within a few weeks, which completely defeated the purpose of choosing stainless steel over plastic or cheaper alternatives. Lid and Sealing Problems The biggest failure of this container is its lid design. The lid does not fit properly and lacks a secure locking mechanism. This means the container is not at all airtight, and definitely not leak-proof. The problem became very clear when I packed liquid foods like sambar or rasam. Even when the container was upright, liquid managed to splash out and spill inside my bag. The situation was worse while carrying it during travel—every small bump caused leakage, creating a complete mess. A food container should ensure hygiene and freshness, but here the loose sealing causes food to lose freshness quickly. Moreover, the spilled liquid not only wastes food but also damages bags and creates unpleasant smells. Daily Use Experience In terms of practical usability, the container is highly unreliable. It may be acceptable for carrying dry snacks or chapati, but for anything with gravy, curry, or liquid content, it is a disaster. I tried using it several times, thinking maybe I had not closed the lid properly, but the result was always the same—splashes and leaks. Another issue is cleaning. Because the lid design is not smooth and has uneven edges, food particles get stuck around the rim, making it difficult to wash properly. Over time, this also creates an unpleasant odor, which is completely unacceptable for a food container. Brand Expectation vs. Reality Milton is a trusted household name in India, and I have personally used several Milton products in the past, including flasks and bottles, without any issues. That is why this experience is particularly disappointing. The brand image gave me confidence to buy the product without hesitation, but this container feels cheap and poorly designed. It does not meet even the basic requirements of a reliable stainless steel lunch container. Conclusion Overall, I would strongly advise against purchasing this Milton stainless steel container, especially if you plan to use it for liquids like sambar, rasam, dal, or any curry. It leaks easily, dents quickly, and even shows rust despite being advertised as stainless steel. For the price charged, the quality is far below expectations. This product may serve only as a container for dry items kept at home, but as a travel or office lunchbox, it is practically useless. I regret my purchase and will not recommend it to anyone looking for a durable, leak-proof, and hygienic food container. Milton seriously needs to rework the design, material quality, and sealing mechanism if they wish to maintain their reputation. Final Verdict: A complete disappointment. Not worth the money.

The item has some manufacturing deffects not perfect moulding. 2. Carrying strip also missed. Not happy with the item
