Awesome Drone! After taking it out of the box I was flying in minutes. I was amazed at how easy this drone was to fly. Very quick response, altitude hold works very well. The LDC screen is a great feature. Normally you must use your phone when flying FPV and of course it’s hard enough to see the screen on your phone in direct sun let alone flying a drone with your phone. I like the headless mode better than a return home button. With headless mode you can navigate the drone back to you. Using a return home key, the drone fly’s in a straight line back to you, so if there is a tree or something in between you and the drone you’re going to crash. The drone is very easy to fly and very stable. Speed control is really nice. You can crank it up to 100% power and have a fast drone, or you can take it all the way down to 25% and take great pictures and videos. My 10-year-old granddaughter wanted to fly the drone. She has never flown one before; I turned the power down to 25% and handed her the controller. With a little bit of instruction, she was flying the drone up and down the street like a pro. The 720p 120-degree wide angle camera which make for good FPV flying and pictures. This is the second Holy Stone Drone I have purchased. I had some issues with the first drone and had to contact Holy Stone customer service. Long story short…Holy Stone made sure that I was pleased with my drone. Today this is something that is hard to find…a great product and someone that stands behind their product. All in all, it a great drone! One thing I forgot to mention, this drone is very durable. So far I have hit my house, my car, my neighbor’s house, two trees and a telephone pole and it still fly’s like it just came out of the box.

I'm an old guy, I didn't grow up with a game controller in my hand, and this is my first drone, so bare with me. The instruction that came with it are use instructions, not assembly instructions It wasn't hard to put together just by looking at the pictures that were intended for other purposes, but this is the first drone I ever held in my hand, so I had no reference. It's taking me a couple of battery charges to be able to fly it, without crashing it, for a full charge. It is sturdy enough that it is not broken yet. The prop blade guards snap off easily, but snap right back on. Sending spare parts is a good idea, but not confidence building. The pairing to the controller, calibrating the gyro, and trimming went well. The drone responds smoothly to the controller and is easy enough to fly once you get the hang of it. It all seems to work as advertised and is a good unit for a beginner. The battery life is about as advertised but is an irritant with the long charge time. I would and have recommend this drone to a friend..

After considerable research, I chose the Holy Stone F181G as my first drone purchase. Cool product. I like the attachable color screen on the controller (instead of linking to a smart phone). The setup is easy and charging the battery didn't take as long as I read it would – only about 25 minutes. My first outdoor flight went fine. It was a bit breezy, so I didn't take it up very high. I decided to practice indoors, primarily take off/landing. In doing so, I found the drone drifted a bit. Before I could tweak the trim, it drifted into a blanket hanging off the bed. It didn't hit hard, but afterward, the drone no longer would take off. All of the props would spin and in the correct direction, but the drone just spun in a circle and then flipped over. I contacted Holy Stone and provided a short video of the problem. One of their reps, Alex, contacted me quickly, and following few email exchanges, he determined one of the motors was damaged and offered to send me a new set at no charge (and included a link to a video for motor replacement). A couple of days later, the motors arrived. I replaced the faulty one (pretty easy to do) and the drone is working good as new. I was surprised at the video quality - being just 720p - but it's quite usable, especially for viewing on social media sites via a smart phone. It's a very nice drone for the price, and with solid customer service from Holy Stone.
