Fraunitsh Strawberry Powder 7.05oz, No Sugar Added & No Additives

I used the powder for strawberry buttercream frosting. It stirred nicely into the butter and powdered sugar. It came out so good. They are real strawberries so the frosting did not taste artificial. Since I had it on hand I put some in my plain Greek yogurt with some honey. It was so good. Strawberry yogurt without all the added sugars. You can use it for so many different recipes and smoothie. I definitely recommend. Freeze dried strawberries retain 90% of the nutrition of a fresh strawberry, 1 tsp gives you the full benefits. I think for the price it comes packed with an overall value.

Works well as a base but needs some flavor exploration. The strawberry powder itself is solid — good texture, mixes in fine, and the freeze-dried process preserves a decent flavor. It functions as advertised for baking, smoothies, and beverages. That said, I think there's room to tweak the flavor profile with other dried fruit varieties to round things out — on its own, the strawberry can come across a bit flat in certain applications. No sugar added is a definite plus. Functional product, just experiment with combining flavors to get the most out of it.

What's better than real strawberries? Nothing, in my opinion. These are perfect in your strawberry frosting. Put them in a Ziploc baggie and leaving the baggie a little open, pass your rolling pin over them until you have a powder. Add to your whipped cream or cream cheese topping for cakes and you have the perfect strawberry frosting without needing an extract. Here's a tip: If you whip real heavy cream with a little powdered sugar, at the end whip in maybe half a packet of unflavored gelatin. This will keep your whipped cream from separating for several days if stored in the refrigerator. Also adds a bit of protein. Win-win. Should work the same for other fruits.
