Why are these shoes good for little kids beginning to walk?

Our shoes are developed with doctors and approved by APMA. Crafted with zero-drop, flexible soles and a wide foot-shaped toe box, they have a wide opening for easy on and durable toe caps to provide extra protection for new walkers.

How does sizing work? Do I need to add room for growth?

Shoe sizes vary between brands, so it is best to measure your child’s foot and confirm with our size guide! We already account for extra room when matching your child’s foot length to their Ten Little size in our size guide.

Do these shoes come in different widths?

No, but our shoes have adjustable velcro straps to obtain the proper fit. They were designed to mimic the 3D shape of a kids’ foot with plenty of wiggle room and have been successfully tested with a variety of foot shapes, including wide and narrow.

When should I size up? How do I confirm my child’s shoe fit?

Expect to size-up every 2-3 months at this stage. Check the fit of your Ten Little shoes by using the removable insoles. Your child’s longest toe should land within the cheetah print line. If their toes go past the line at all, it’s time to size up!

Half a size bigger than expected

I follow a pediatric PT on social media who recommended these. I’m a PTA, so functional things are my jam. These are super cute, have a wide toe box, and great for walkers. Size runs BIG. The box comes with a sizing chart you can use for your little. I eye balled what I thought he needed, and they are about a half size bigger than what he usually is. It works out since they grow so fast. Pretty soft for a tennis shoe. Very durable for an active boy. Great quality! If they’re learning left from right, they have a little animal in them that are near the arch that helps them learn.

Great for foot development!

Love love LOVE these shoes for my toddler. The velcro is so easy for her to use herself, she always picks them out herself since they’re her most comfortable shoe and I love knowing her feet are developing safely in these barefoot shoes!

Comfortable durable shoes.

We got these shoes through Amazon and it was great because it came so soon. They are spacious and super easy to put on no tugging and pulling. After a year of them being worn almost daily they are still in good condition. The front is scuffed a little but overall they still look great. They're a quality pair that lasts and is good for first walkers . Not much slipping due to them being tightly on with a good grip. They also have a flexible sole which is great
