Bulb Powder Duster Sprayer With 6 Inch Extension Nozzle For Diatomaceous Earth Duster

I bought this to use with a powder bug killer in the floor joist area of my basement. I filled up the container, turned it upside down and pressed the middle. The powder came out cleaner than I thought it would. Easy to hit small crevices. Wanted to make sure it was well treated before stuffing insulation int the area. Works very well!

I used CimeXa in it for the bed bugs I had and it worked well. Once I got the hang of it, it did the job! Because CimeXa is such a light, powdery dust, you need to be careful not to press down on the Duster by accident or the CimeXa is all over! But again, it did the job for me!!

I think this sprayer is a pretty good sprayer. It's made of plastic and pretty basic. The first time I used it, I doused a neglected cat with DE powder. I was afraid the cat would not like the sprayer but he was fine with it (you can control the spray). It's a little hard at first to control how much powder comes out, once you get the hang of it it's fairly easy to use. I also found that the amount of powder you put in should be less. Filling it to the top will make for some very heavy messy application. The finer the application the less the powder. I filled the sprayer only a 1/4 full and this worked for what I was doing. I wast able to direct the spray under the hair easily enough. I am happy with this sprayer, it is perfect for what I needed it for.

Pros: easy to use, reasonably easy to fill. Definitely gets the diatomaceous earth in all those books and crannies nasty six legged things like to hide in. The nozzle is easy to install or remove.Cons: diatomaceous earth will eventually work it's way out of the screw ring area and get everywhere, but if you're working with DE it's messy anyway. It also will occasionally clog up and send a huge amount rather than a gentle dusting.

Easy to use, dispenses the right amount every time depending on the required force. Great for dusting bags of seed, areas where birds forage and nest, perfect for nest boxes, dispersion is spot on. I just wish the opening were a little bigger to make refilling a less messy job. Even though refilling is a little messy, no worries if some DE floats out because it doesn't hurt anything and is all good, no matter where it lands.

Terrible! The lid doesn't properly screw on, so instead of dust just shooting from the tube like it should, it shoots out from all sides of the canister. I ended up with my hands and clothes covered in dust because so much dust was coming out from around the unsealed/not screwed on properly lid. In fact, more dust came out of the canister than what dispensed through the tube. Yuck. Completely useless.

Upon opening you will instantly regret buying this. It feels very cheap and the "cap" doesnt screw on properly due to being warped. You get maybe one thread holding it together. Will it work? Maybe. But wish I spent a couple more bucks.

I purchased this to put diatomaceous earth around the perimeters of the rooms in my house to prevent insect infestations. It's very handy, and I would recommend it to anyone else looking to do the same. It's easy to load, and easy to use.
