Sleeper Chair 84" Extra Long Convertible Chair Bed Upgraded 3-in-1 to 4-in-1 Pull Out Chair & Single Sofa Bed for Adult Sleeping Chairs for Living Room & Small Space

Purchased May 1, 2025 Pros • It looks good • It’s very comfortable in the chair position • Quality is very good Cons • Not mobile • Too low to the floor • The arms are too tall • Only the chair position is comfortable. Any other position means spreading the cushions out, making the seat too thin. The metal bars can easily be felt and causes me some discomfort on my delicate bottom. Making the chair mobile To make the chair more mobile, I was going to need to build what I’m calling, a dolly. To do this, I cut some eight foot 2x4s down to four 25” and four 32” pieces. These pieces were arranged into two 32” squares that I layed on top of each other then screwed together. I then spray painted this two level square with Minwax Red Oak. Underneath it, I screwed in four 3” casters. On the top, at each corner I screwed in four Mason jar lids for the chair feet to sit in. All I needed to do then was drop the chair unto the dolly, making sure that the feet sat in the Mason jar lids. Now I can easily move the chair around without the chair sliding off the dolly. The whole thing now sits about six inches higher off the floor, making it much more usable for my situation. A small disadvantage is that with the chair sitting on the dolly such as it is, can no longer recline. This is fine with me since I found that any position other than the chair position was uncomfortable. But if for some reason I did want to recline it, I simply had to pick the chair up out of the dolly and set it on the floor. None of the changes I made (so far) are permanent. For now, I’ve been using an old office chair with the back removed as a footrest. It works, but it’s not ideal. Replacing the arms The new arms are about the same dimensions as the old arms, 2-1/2” wide x 32” deep x 20” high with the new arms now 4” shorter or 16” high. From underneath the top part of the arms, a 36” piece of 1x6 pine was screwed in as an armrest to sit on top of each arm. A hole was drilled in at the end of each arm to accommodate the keyboard tray I made from some scrap wood and is held in place using a carriage bolt. The new chair arm’s side panels are Wainscoting MDF with some quarter round molding added around the perimeter of the Wainscoting. Once the new arms were assembled, they were stained with 5 or 6 coats of Minwax Bombay Mahogany. Once the stain dried, I screwed them to the chair the same way as the original arms were screwed in. Re-reclining the Chair I began this phase of the project by cutting a scrap piece of 3/4” birch veneered plywood down to 22-1/2” x 14”. This piece was going to be sandwiched between what I’m calling the recliner extension and the upholstered end plate. Around the perimeter edges of the plywood I ironed on some red oak veneer tape to hide the “plys” in the plywood. Four holes were drilled into the plywood for the screws to pass through to re-mount the upholstered end plate to the recliner extension with the plywood piece sandwiched in between the two. A 22-1/2” x 1-3/4” x 1-3/4” board was screwed to the bottom back side of the plywood. Two holes were drilled into the bottom of the board to allow adding castors to the board making pulling the recliner extension out a little easier. The whole thing was then stained with Bombay Mahogany. The original 2” 1/4-28 screws for mounting the upholstered end plate to the recliner extension had to be replaced with 2-1/2” 1/4-28 screws to accommodate the plywood inserted between the two. I kept the original arms and other pieces no longer used and put them all up in my attic in case I needed them again someday. Finally, I bought some extra cushions that somewhat matched the original cushions now making this the most comfortable and usable Home Theater Chair I ever had.

This chair actually works out great! I was a little hesitant since other reviewers talked about the cushions being a little uncomfortable but it’s actually super nice to sit in. My little sister actually comes into my room to sit on it so it’s definitely been a good purchase. Pros: Very comfy to sit and lounge in Folds and extends easily (on carpet) Simple to put together Easy to clean Small storage space is convenient Cons One of the cushions is more of a throw pillow More detailed pros and cons: It was probably the eastern piece of furniture I’ve ever put together. I’m a very short individual and I managed to get the whole thing set up by myself in probably 30 minutes. It folds up very well and is super easy to change from chair to lounger or bed even on carpet. The dimensions are accurate and ended up being the perfect size for me. I really like the material since it feels super soft and it’s pretty easy to just brush off random dirt or fuzzies, plus the cushions being removable also makes it easy to clean. There is one cushion that is different than the others (not exactly sure why) but when the chair is folded AS a chair it looks like a throw pillow and not a cushion. It does not feel like a cushion if u sit on that alone, so if you want to use the bed feature just put that thin cushion at the feet and you’ll be good.

The price of the chair was very good. Somewhat hard to assemble. The chair has very little firmness, does not appear to be very sturdy, padding is only 2" thick, so if you have to use this as a sleeper you will need some padding. This chair is very low to the chair. Much lower than a normal chair. Weight is good and fabric right now appears to be a good quality. I WAS CONTACTED AFTER MY REVIEW ABOUT A PARTIAL REFUND OR NEW CUSHIONS>. IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN A MONTH AND STILL NO NEW CUSHIONS. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I like the chair so far. Fairly easy to put together and pretty comfortable both for sitting and sleeping. Love the color and the material.

Chair Bed Sleeper ... Space Saver as a chair ... Extends into an 84 inch bed, single sleeper .... I used Twin fitted XL sheets to cover the arms, and end to foot ... Helps keep it clean ... Weighs about 95 pounds I feel like the reviewers didn't actually sleep on this thing themselves ... Awful support, back hurts, hips stiff, terrible sleep ... Would never put my friends or family on this to rest Cushions tend to push between the WIDE metal slats as a bed ... NOT a thick mattress per sae, and hips hurt next day ... So I added a memory foam on top, which helps, but cannot make into a chair without removing that foam and store during the day Slats are too far apart for a reason ... Have to slide the foot end, up into the chair part, so the channels must remain clear ... I think creating a plywood base on top of the metal slats will improve stability, but will have to stay a bed all the time (why not just buy a regular bed then) Assembly required ... Took a couple hours .... Not difficult, but uses the Hex Wrench, included, time consuming ... Prefer regular type screws or Phillips ... Hex are horrible, since not owning the electric adapter to my tools I would not purchase it again ... Too much a hassle putting together, then mattress being too THIN ... claims to support a 500 pound individual .... I'm 149 pounds, and found it lacking, by squishing thru slats ... If not such a problem to disassemble, it would be returned Basket underneath for storage is small ... Rollers do fold up the bed into chair easily, pretty smooth ... Cushions need more fluff, thicker ... Backside comes down to lay flat, flimsy board barely covered with itchy fabric ... Neat idea with poor execution ... An expensive mistake on my part .... Would NOT buy again .

I bought this for my guest room and I’m really happy with it. It doesn’t take up much space, but it easily converts into a bed when I have visitors. The fabric feels nice, the cushions are comfortable, and it looks much more expensive than it is. Putting it together was simple, and it’s sturdy enough for everyday use. If you’re looking for a chair that doubles as a bed without taking over the room, this is a great choice.

This convertible chair is so cute!! I like the minimalist design, but also how convenient it goes from a chair to a bed. Its resistant and comfortable and the fabric is soft and well made. It has a good size and the design looks nice in any space. A great addition for home!

I have had this chair for about 2 years now and none of my guests like it. I have limited space in my office/spare room so thought this chair would be best instead of a bed or Murphy bed. It sits next to a bookshelf and side table, perfect for reading and relaxing. When I use it as a chair or chaise it is comfortable. When guests come we pull it out and put sheets and blankets on. The size is perfect, even for our taller friends. Unfortunately there is a bar in the middle of the chair that is super uncomfortable for people to sleep on. No matter how many blankets I put on the chair to pad it people still complain. Every time we have someone over they end up moving to the couch. I wish the chair would have been better because I feel like I wasted money on it. I will be keeping it but we have invested in a high quality air mattress for our guests instead.
