I love room temp softened butter. I like to keep it on the counter, ready for toast, bagels and buttering pans. I’ve had ceramic crocks, and used plastic food containers and those are messy, hard to keep airtight and always a chance of breakage. This butter keeper is weighty, the cover seals with no effort and it is easy to clean. Have an extra in my cart right now, though I think this one will last forever. Love.

The butter dish is airtight and good quality material, looks great and clean easily

I buy Kerrygold butter which isn't cheap and wanted something more than just the paper it comes in holding it. I bought two different versions, this with locking lid and a longer with big seal friction holding lid on. Tested and both held my butter two stick width with little to spare all around. Both fit inside the butter spot on my fridge door sitting on top "I can't believe it's not butter" container sold at food warehouses with space to hold syrup containers from McDonald's. The longer one has big seal runs around dish, two big rubber feet on each bottom end and Lid is little lower. Lock on is shorter length with four small dot rubber feet on bottom sides and Lid is little taller with thin seal part of it. The measuring marks are pretty useless on both you can't see them but it's OK I bought one of them pat butter slicers for sticks. You really can't go wrong with either but only need one just which will it be?

Bought this because it fits Kerrygold butter sticks and it works great. Has even more room so you can fit a bit more than the western style (like kerrygold) sticks

Love the size and durability of the butter dish keeper. Clear to see exactly how much butter I have left. This dish holds two sticks of butter so it last longer. The airtight is nice to keep flies and gnats out during those hot summer days. Dishwasher safe. I have purchased one for my friend after she saw mine. Loves it.
