Well made and great value
A review of PrecisionGeeks Speaker spike pads. These are indeed precision made with a good quality black finish. And just what I needed as I'm about to rebuild my speaker stands. My Kef iQ floorstanders come with spikes built in, the long thin variety not the shallow wide type, so with the tops of my stands being mdf they have a habit of digging in and spoiling the finish,Which also makes it a bit awkward when trying to to them in to position them properly. These are ideal for stopping that happening.I've checked them on both the iQ9's and the iQ5's and they fit really well so I'm very happy with them.

Well-Machined, Good Satin Black Finish, 7mm Thick (Not 8mm As Claimed)
This 'PrecisionGeek' pack of eight aluminium speaker spike pads currently comes out roughly £1.75 per pad, which doesn't seem unreasonable. There appears to be another variation of these without the knurling (B07CJ9LV5J), which oddly are the same price. Given that must add to the cost, it would seem to make these better value (or those poorer value). The knurling is presumably an aesthetic choice, as it doesn't do anything functional on unthreaded pads like these. It is quite rough and picks up particulates easily; so I'd suggest you go for the unknurled version. The machining is very good; clean surfaces and consistent dimensions.Unfortunately those dimensions are wrong. The listing claims "20 mm dia & 8 mm thick", but every pad I've received is 7mm thick (see my photos). In practice that 1mm difference is unlikely to matter in the intended application, but it's worth noting. The anodised black finish is generally of a high standard. One sample in my set of eight has a small blemish in the finish, but the rest are pretty much perfect. It's not something that you'd see when these are installed.Overall I'm reasonably happy with these; but I'd suggest the stainless steel version 'PrecisionGeek' also offer (B0CQ89X5QV) is the better buy; particularly at the current price below £9.

Do the job well
Slightly smaller than I expected, but they locate the spikes on the speakers easily and protect the wooden floor from damage.
