Easy to put together in a couple minutes. It rolls smoothly with and without weight and the wheels are very quiet as well. It is a little tall at the lowest setting (about 14.5 inches high from floor to bottom base of chair) compared to the original for my chair, but it is not an issue for me personally. It takes a little bit of effort to recline but that could be due to the new-ness of the product. I wish it was a little more cost effective, however, it is exactly what I needed and totally worth it so I don’t have to spend time struggling to find a new chair! It seems sturdy and is working well so far!

I am so impressed with this replacement unit. The star base comes in pieces and I was a bit leery of that, but it is heavy and solid, the screws and inserts that you use to put it together are heavy duty. The base plate fit perfectly on a three year old chair (be careful to measure the distances as this is 10" and 6" and there can be other sizes.). The one caveat is that the wheels are plastic and probably only decent up to 250 lbs. Anyone heavier s/b using inline skate type wheels anyway. and the ones from the old base interchanged in perfectly All in 20 mins and 5 of that was getting the old base off the chair seat. I was just trying to stave off buying another chair I might hate and am suprised and delighted with how simple and fast this was, and how well made and heavy duty. Money well spent.

It was fairly easy to install this chair base and wheels. They look good too. However, they don't roll smooth. Even when I'm not in the chair, they wheels seem to get out of sync if you try it in any direction. I bought this to change a non-rolling chair in to a rolling chair and now all I have is something that feels and sounds like I'm rolling on rocks instead.

I'm a male, about 215 lbs. I bought this in order to replace a faulty, cracked base for my gaming chair (Fuqido Gaming). At the beginning, it installed well, fit my old chair perfectly, and was absolutely fine. After about 3 months of regular use, my chair began squeaking again. Then leaning in 1 particular direction. I checked down today and discovered that a cracked has formed in the base's sheet metal; eventually, this will cause the base to break again. I'm going to stop wasting money on low quality gaming chairs and by myself a proper office chair so hopefully this doesn't become an issue again. If you're about average american male weight and use your chair regularly, don't waste your money on this product.
