I just received this and why does it smell so strongly without any information regarding the odor?

As far as I could tell from the other reviews before I got mine, it’s because of the tanning process and the fact that it’s real leather that’s been a package for storage/shipping. I let mine air out open, zipper side up, for a week and it was fine. I could smell a new leather/tanning smell sometime when i walked by while it was open. Now that it’s stuffed, I haven’t smelled anything.

Would the color rub off on a white carpet?

I have had mine sitting on a cream carpet for the past 8 months with no color transfer. I love this pouf!

So you have to buy the stuffing separately??

Evidently a seller planned to sell the stuffing but never got around to it? I see they said this in 2019 and I don’t see any yet in 2022 going on 2023! If you have nothing there are materials for stuffing pillows and you could start with gel memory foam for the first layer and use inexpensive materials. People are always giving away unwanted clothing, materials, and whatnot on an app I use called Freebie Alerts but anything like left over yarns, tired wash cloths, tattered towels, ugly blankets, ruined jeans, rags or sheets would work.
