I love hojicha but haven't found a good powder to make at home. This one is perfect. It's smooth, slightly sweet, and has a nutty flavor which is everything that I look for in a good cup of hojicha. It's also lower in caffeine than matcha (and coffee) so you have have it any time of the day! It's also a fairly generous portion for the price! I would love to try their matcha powder next.

This powder is super delicious, blends easily, and is a full flavoured Hojicha. I struggled to find any near me and I'm glad to have purchased this one here. I recommend it, you don't have to deal with any strange grittiness or anything. I love making iced hojicha strawberry lattes and in order to get the hojicha to blend smoothly, I just add the amount I need to a little bit of hot water from my kettle and use my little frother and it's perfect. If you love hojicha like me, this is a great buy.

I love the nutty notes! It is smooth, mellow, and has a warm, roasted flavor. If you’re looking to take a little break from matcha, this hojicha is definitely the perfect choice. I would highly recommend it!

This is my first time trying hojicha. It tastes like bong water! VERY earthy, tastes exactly like your drinking twigs and leaves. The powder itself smells like a used pipe. My fingers now smell like I’ve been smoking. I was hoping the brown color would be darker resembling more of a chocolate. Looks more like baby diarrhea. I added a little bit of maple syrup to see if it would be better and it helped and although I put very little, it became too sweet and overpowering the hojicha. You only need the tiniest drop. Maybe this will taste better hot? I used 3g and abt 35g of water and 1.8oz of oat milk.
