This powder is super delicious, blends easily, and is a full flavoured Hojicha. I struggled to find any near me and I'm glad to have purchased this one here. I recommend it, you don't have to deal with any strange grittiness or anything. I love making iced hojicha strawberry lattes and in order to get the hojicha to blend smoothly, I just add the amount I need to a little bit of hot water from my kettle and use my little frother and it's perfect. If you love hojicha like me, this is a great buy.

I am absolutely loving this hojicha powder! It has the smoothest, most delicious roasty flavor, and it’s seriously so easy to drink. I’ve been making hojicha lattes with it and they taste AMAZING. The roasted flavor is rich without being bitter, and it blends so nicely with milk. I’m genuinely obsessed and will definitely be keeping this stocked in my kitchen! 🤎

I really like the packaging. It has an easy pull tab, seals well after opening, and is sleek and mess-free. You also get a good amount of hojicha. I tried it a few different ways. Using 2–3g of hojicha with 30g of hot water, which is how I normally prepare my matcha, I got a strong nori flavor, roasted and slightly sweet notes, followed by bitterness and astringency. I then tried the 2g of hojicha to 1 oz of water recommended on the packaging, but used room-temperature water to see if it would mellow the nori flavor. It did! The nori was much less pronounced, and I noticed more roasted and earthy notes, a hint of raw almond, slight sweetness, and a toasted nori finish. Adding oat milk made it creamier and brought out more sweetness, and I found that adding a little sweetener helped balance the bitterness and roasted flavors, although the overall flavor was still distinctly sweet and roasted with a nori-like finish. Nori isn’t my favorite flavor, but if you enjoy strong roasted, smoky, earthy, and nori flavors, this hojicha may be right up your alley.

Pleasantly surprised by this bag. It’s not grainy. It’s toasty fragrant and nice color. I like making my hojicha latte with oat milk, without sugar or sweeteners and this hojicha can balance well with the milk. This has become one of my favorite hojicha powder alongside Rocky’s. The caffeine is about the same as a typical matcha latte, which is perfect for someone who can’t handle caffeine from coffee like me. The price is reasonable. I definitely will buy more as long as it’s in stock.

I’m impressed with the flavor it has! It almost tastes like chocolate, it’s perfectly roasted and gave me an afternoon boost after drinking it. Price is also fair for what I get!

I tried FKRO’s hojicha and really enjoyed it. It has a smooth, sweet, roasted tea flavor and is a great lower caffeine alternative to coffee or matcha.

I love FKRO’s products. I recently tried hojicha for the first time and i was pleasantly surprised. It has a cozy, nutty and sweet flavor which gives the vibe of coffee but not as heavy! I tried it to get a switch from drinking daily matcha or coffee and to keep a variety in my morning beverage. It also smells really good. There’s a good amount for the package it comes in. Looking forward to trying more products from FKRO!

I love hojicha but haven't found a good powder to make at home. This one is perfect. It's smooth, slightly sweet, and has a nutty flavor which is everything that I look for in a good cup of hojicha. It's also lower in caffeine than matcha (and coffee) so you have have it any time of the day! It's also a fairly generous portion for the price! I would love to try their matcha powder next.
