Will this model be adjustable for my height?** A: Yes... I am also disabled and I can't pick my leg up at all. You don't have to step up to get on it or get off of it it's very easy for me to access and it is adjustable I'm 5-3 and I could pull it much closer than I have it. I have to manually put my feet into the foot pedals but this is the best form of exercise I've been able to use so far. I love it and I just need a little bit more discipline to make sure I'm on that baby every day! **Q: Is there a way to smooth the pedal motion? There appears to be some "jerkiness"** A: The jerkiness I experienced was from me not maintaining a smooth pedaling motion. Flywheels operate on the physics of stored rotational (kinetic) energy. Since this machine's flywheel and pedals are not totally fixed to one another, as the flywheel attempts to maintain its current speed, backing off the pedal rotational speed will cause a lag were the flywheel kicks into the pedal in its attempt to maintain its stored rotational energy. **Q: I find with these bikes, sometimes the seat is so smooth, you slide down. Does this happen with this model?** A: I did 35 minutes on the bike tonight (my second session) and never felt uncomfortable, or felt the need to adjust my seating. The handle bars down at your hips are angled up at the ends, so I suppose grabbing on the angle portion would allow you to push yourself back against the back rest if you felt you were slipping forward. **Q: Great bike! How do you work the computer part of the bike...am lost..:(** A: 1: After you begin to pedal, you will see the computer screen flash the various read-out modes in sequence. If you want to see them all the time do nothing to the computer. 2: If you want to view just one of the modes all the time, wait till it appears, then momentarily press the "MODE" button--that will "lock" that mode into continuous viewing. 3: If you want to reset any of the mode values, stop pedaling and wait for the word "STOP" to appear on the left side of the read-out. At this point, momentarily press the "RESET" button--that will zero out whichever mode you have chosen ( I only reset elapsed time at the end of the day). Then you may continue to pedal. If it goes together well, I'm impressed. Well, I'm impressed by this bike. The instructions were really clear and all of the parts were well packed, well marked and super easy to assemble. The bolts and nuts were shrink-wrapped onto a piece of cardboard and all were grouped and labeled. They even give you all of the tools you need for assembly. Every bolt hole lined up perfectly and there were no stripped bolts. I put this together myself, although connecting the piece with the resistance cable could use an extra pair of hands. Not required, but would make it easier.The bike itself is comfortable to use and pedals very smoothly and quietly. You could probably use this while someone was sleeping in the same room. It's not for tall users; I'm guessing anyone over 6 feet.It would be nice if Marcy added some length.2. Attaching the tension control is Hard.3. The "wheels" are useless on carpet.4. It's best used on a hard surface; there's a SMALL amount of side-to-side motion on carpet.5. The tension (pedaling difficulty) is not used for the display, especially :Speed, Distance, Odometer, Calories.If you were pedaling up a steep hill or very fast (high tension) those statistics would increase.The bike just measures RPM's and translates that to the display stats wo regard for tension.You'll have to let virtue be it's own reward here :)6. I would be a bit more comfortable with the seat lower and tilted further back.but this is a minor quibble. It may have a lot to do with my height.Since I'm over 6 feet tall I fastened an old pair of orthotics to the pedals and I pedal in bare feet.This gives me just enough extra length to comfortably use the bike.The pros are huge and the cons are are all minor.
