Anti-Theft Door Mount for Eufy Video Doorbell E340, Apartment Doorbell Kits

I got rid of my my ring products and switched to Eufy. I got tired of paying for a monthly subscription. After switching, I realized I needed a no drill mount for the Eufy doorbell I just bought. This was about the only one I could find on Amazon, second to another one that comes in stainless steel. I'm surprised that there are not very many manufactures of Eufy doorbell no drill mounts. After receiving the item, I was quickly impressed with the build quality, mostly because it's all metal, with the exception of the plastic thumb screw. However, this type of mount does not allow you to encase / enclose the actual doorbell to prevent it from damage, where as my ring camera had a housing you could put it into. Although that's not a deal breaker, my ring doorbell was protected from damage. I suppose that having it enclosed, would also be an extra step when needing to charge it. A few reviewers complained about how it seems really flimsy. But what they fail to realize, is that the metal bracket that goes around the door cannot be too thick, otherwise your door will not close properly. So there is a trade off. Either a thick bracket which will rub and or prevent your door from closing, or a thin bracket which will feel a bit flimsy, but allow your door to close. And even then it may still rub on the door frame. As it is, as thin as the bracket is, it almost stops my door from closing. Do to it being that thin, some people are under the impression that this makes it easier for someone to steal. But what fail to realize realize, is you cannot rip metal. In order for someone to rip this off of your door, they would literally have to pull the doorbell with the bracket completely through your doorframe along with the thumb screw. That's impossible to do. Otherwise, they would have to bend the bracket outward, have a screwdriver as well, and undo the mounting screws. If that is something you are worried about, then round out (strip) the screws so that they cannot be removed by a screwdriver. This mount doesn't come with any instructions because they are printed on the box. Even with the instructions, putting it together was a little bit finicky because they don't tell you what screws to use where. I saw a couple reviewers who complained about the screws being either too long or too short. But the only screws I used to put it together, was all the short ones. The long ones are not needed. Another reviewer also complained about the anti-theft bracket not working on her angled bracket. Well if you look at her video, she didn't even have the anti-theft bracket secure and it was flopping around. Even if you didn't install the anti-theft bracket an an angled mount, a thief would have to be walking around with the pin tool to remove your camera. All in all, I am very happy with this mount and have no complaints about it. It would be nice to see them create an enclosed angled mount like what I had for my ring door bell. Edit: The long screws are only needed when using the angled mount. The security bracket does in fact not work with the angled mount.

I don't often write reviews but this product was perfect for my situation and wanted to call that out. If you don't want to drill for a permanent mount for your Eufy yet want something that can't easily be tampered with, this is absolutely a product to look at. The product appears well made and was very quick & easy to assemble. Fit my door perfectly and even came with a little metal protector over the doorbell release hole. It won't prevent someone that really wants to steal it from doing so, but certainly is a very good deterrent. Nothing fancy - just a product that does exactly what it is supposed to do at a reasonable cost.

I bought this because when I tried to drill into the side wall of my apartment door, I got the screw stuck. The wall felt like it was either wood or sheetrock. Nonetheless, it took me some time to get the screw out. So I did some googling and found this. My door swings out to the left; that's why the door camera holder is in that position. It was easy to set up. Yes there are some plastic and metal pieces; I don't really care about. As long as it does the job, which it's doing. Compatibility works perfectly fine with the eufy - smart wi-fi e340 camera.

Its a good mount no drilling and stays put. if it waws a little bit longer would be nice trying to center it a little more because the angle of my door. but a great product

I’ve had this for over 3months & so far I’m satisfied. It has decent battery life depending on what settings you have it on, I bought an extra battery so any it’s low I just replace & charge the dead one. Functions just as it should, connectivity is good. I bought a door mount to put it on the door & that’s worked great as well.

Was difficult to begin with. Screws were too tiny that they wouldn't grab the plates correctly. After so many attempts it finally barely held together. I've only had it for a few weeks and after daily opening and closing the door, it got very loose. Took it off to re screw but it just fell apart and the screw got stuck, and the included screw driver ended up just stripping the screw. Totally useless now.

If you’re a renter, the ability to mount your security camera without permanently modifying your building with holes is huge. The bracket holds the camera in place perfectly, but unfortunately seems to be fairly flimsy. It would probably not be difficult to bend it back and forth to break it off so, if anti-theft is your main concern, this product is questionable. Setup was simple and effective. The only downside, other than the metal and screws not being more stout, is that, since the camera is held on an inward swinging door, a majority of the “security” event footage so far has been taken inside the house upon opening the door. While this side affect of the placement is obvious, the potential impact on battery life was underestimated. All in all, the product does its job well by fitting and holding the E340 in position on the door. It is a decent option as long as you’re not requiring something more robust.

It fits the doorbell E340 just fine, and it is easy to adjust placement on the door. Note that with the second camera pointing down, you may be limited about the height because whatever is right below it will look big in the camera view. The anti-theft feature is not so great because it requires installing a metal piece over the top. This also blocks you the owner from removing it unless you take it off the door and uninstall it from the bracket. Mounting on the door you are using the battery, and you will need to do that to change the battery or if you need to re-sync the device to your wifi. It is easier to leave that anti-theft piece off.

The fit and finish is very good. Unfortunately its not thick enough to prevent bending as you tighten the knob at the back. Alternatively needs to be made from a non-springy material as this one bends badly. Also doesn't allow for a wired fitting type solution if that's what you have/need.

Easy to set up and use.

La qualité des produits et de l'application est au rendez-vous. J'ai configuré le carillon sur ma base intelligente Eufy, qui gère également plusieurs de mes caméras de surveillance. Malheureusement, le résultat dans ma situation n'est pas concluant. La durée de vie de la batterie est bien en dessous de mes attentes. De plus, le carillon présente un long délai avant de sonner, et la vidéo ainsi que le son saccadent et subissent des ralentissements importants (lag). Si c'était à refaire, je ne ferais pas cet achat pour ma configuration actuelle. 5 étoiles si une courte durée de vie de la batterie ne vous dérange pas et que votre base intelligente Eufy est pas déjà saturer. Le produits reste de qualité digne du nom Eufy Anker
