Petrified for five hundred years, Willem Kmetsch wakes up to find he has nothing left in a world where his kind is extinct—a world that sees him as unnatural. To survive, Willem takes on a job as a weapons caretaker only to discover that these are something more—they’re young leprechaun girls with the power to wield the mighty “dug weapons,” the only hope against the seventeen beasts. And they’re ready to die for their purpose. A fact that doesn’t sit right with Willem and leads him to care for the girls, especially the eldest, Chtholly. Soon, the girls begin to develop a desire to live and love until suddenly, something within Chtholly breaks. What happens when weapons develop a will to live, and what will happen to the world they’re meant to save?

Good anime drama, alittle sad at the end but worth the watch. Animation quality is great sound is great as well. Definitely enjoyable.

Stunning animation and story
Absolutely loved this anime the story is beautiful the animation design and artwork are stunning and it is a definite tearjerker that hooks you in the first episode. The music was beautiful as well I believe it was Celtic Women if not them then another band that's in the same genre.

Glad I bought it.
Great animation, characters, and storyline. I bought before watching it. I really enjoyed it so it was a good cold buy.Edit later: hah, it's like 1/3 the price now. Definitely buy it!

Different
I liked that this story had a different feel to it. At first I wasn’t sure I would like it but the story was good and aside from the sad ending it was enjoyable to watch.

Fun Anime
Huge into Anime, saw this on top list of good Animes. Was really happy i pick this up. The Animation is really beautiful and has very cool characters. Would recommend to anyone who likes good Anime

Just a great little anime.
Very nicely drawn and not a bad story. If you miss the first 2 minutes you are in for a shock in the last episode.

It's of course a touching story
Even without covering the last two volumes of the original light novel series. The pace, story, and picture are all fine.
