Pros- Slightly loose fit, which allows better air circulation; Side air vents also serve their purpose; Wide brim that blocks direct sunlight from all sides; String prevents the hat from flying away in the wind; Washable material; Snugly fits into the backpack, without taking space. Cons- The string's centre position is not fixed, which takes some doing to tighten it when putting the hat in place. Problem solved by tying a small [permanent] knot on the string under the chin.
