PINK PANTHER VOL 4:SWINGIN IN THE PIN - DVD Movie Review: Love it. Other versions are available. - My 7 year old grandson has decided he really likes Pink Panther cartoons. This was after he resisted watching any at all. I had volumes 1 and 3 , and got 2 and 4 of the MGM release. Each one has about 27 episodes and is a little short of 3 hours long. The prices were reasonable. According to Wikipedia, there were 124 cartoon in all (maybe plus a Christmas special?). A little over 100 are included in these 4 DVDs. Not sure about the other 20. MGM created 4 more volumes, but I can't find exactly what is on them. They are much much shorter. And expensive. Not worth it to me. They must be rare, since people want so much money for them. Apparently 2 other companies released sets, some of which include all 124. And they range from expensive to extremely expensive. Since I already have MGM volumes 1 though 4, I'm not going to spend a LOT of money to either duplicate most of the episodes, or discover by trial-and-error what the other volumes might include. The MGM have French, Spanish, and Portuguese subtitles, and English captions. Most of the episodes have no dialog, but some have full dialog or narration. I didn't remember any dialog from watching them myself, in my youth. I don't know about the subtitles on the other releases. But, by the time you add the cost for the first 4 volumes of MGM, you might be able to get all 124 from one of the other releasing companies. Keep in mind, these were made 50 years, or so, ago. They are more violent than current standards. Characters are frequently whacking each other. The "little man" is often shooting his rifle. Getting shot (unrealistically) amounts to getting scorched. But comparable to Road Runner. Just so you know what to expect. Review: Memory - It was great to go back in time when movies were real movies. Children love it and it brought back a lot of memory so I guess that I will be looking for the oldies now.

Essence of cool personified
No other character is the essence of cool personified. These cartoons never age, never not funny and always will be enjoyable. A great edition to your collection.

Great buy, super entertainment for kids and adults!
Bought this for my young boys, who discovered the pink panther via an old video I had. ANYONE can appreciate the panther, as no words are spoken in his cartoons, usually. This makes it easy to watch on car trips, they kids don't need to strain to listen~ It was a good buy, the shows were complete and many: 1-it's pink, but is it mink? 2-pink campaign 3-the scarlet pinkernel 4-mystic pink 5-the pink of arabee 6-the pink pro 7-pink piper 8-pinky doodle 9-sherlock pink 10-rocky pink 11-therapeutic pink 12-pink pictures 13-pink arcade 14-pink lemonade 15-pink trumpet 16-sprinkle me pink 17-dietetic pink 18-pink u.f.o. 19-pink lightning 20-cat and the pinkstalk 21-pink daddy 22-pink s.w.a.t. 23-pink and shovel 24-pinkologist 25-yankee doodle pink 26-pink press 27-pet pink pebbles

Pink is GREAT
The kids LOVE Pink Panther and I have slowly been purchasing the video's. It is great when our 2 year old in the car starts giggling at the humor of just the stuff that happens. It a great video with an assortment and they just Love it when its on.

This volume was okay.
I feel like the producers ran out of ideas on this volume because the other volumes seem better and this one had a lot of episodes where they just added a few more scenes but had the same storylines. This voulme wasn't as great as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ones, but it's PINK PANTHER and I love him so I will still say that this DVD was good. =) So basically, it isn't too good but it isn't too bad ...(just in the middle). I recommend this for Pink Panher lovers all around.

Bought this DVD for my grandson as part of his Christmas presents, he loves Pink Panther. The DVD will not play on his portable DVD player. I have bought him lots of box sets in the past and had no problems with them working. I will try it in my DVD player later to see if it works.
