Sponges! Got to love them sponges. They do everything a sponge can do and they do it incredibly well.

These are basic kitchen cleaning sponges with a softer side and a rougher scouring side, and they have been perfectly decent for everyday washing up. I have been using them for dishes, wiping down the worktop, and tackling a few stubborn bits on pans, and they have handled normal kitchen mess without much trouble. The scrubby side has enough bite to lift dried food and greasy marks, but it is not so harsh that it felt like it would wreck everything it touched. The sponge side absorbs well and rinses out easily, which makes them practical for general cleaning rather than just heavy scrubbing. I also like the different colours because it makes it easier to keep one for dishes and another for other jobs. The only thing that stopped these being excellent is that they do start to look tired after a while, especially if you use them on tougher pans regularly. They are not falling apart instantly, but they are definitely more of an everyday disposable sponge than something especially durable. Overall, they are good value, useful to have in the cupboard, and do the job well for standard kitchen cleaning.

Wish I'd checked the reviews before I ordered 2 packs at £1.99 each but really, we don't need to shop around & compare prices & quality for washing up sponges do we? a sponge is a sponge isn't it?, it does what it says it will do surely? well seemingly not in every case! as I now see from other reviews, I'm not the only one who has found that these sponges aren't even capable of completing 1 little wash without the scourer part coming away & flopping about. Ive used & chucked 7 in 7 days so Ive given up & have just bought my usual brand from the budget supermarket L**L for 47p yes 47p - 24% of the cost of these sponges which are not fit for purpose! & they probably last 15 times longer!
