Great price, great motor, shipped quickly.
Had it out on the water twice now and it’s been great. Cheaper than a Minn Kota and seems just as durable. Can’t speak to it’s longevity yet, but so far absolutely no complaints. I’m using it on an 11ft Seahawk 4 dinghy. More than enough power. We’ve been trolling the local lake on speed 1-2. Speed 5 packs some punch, at least for our dinghy. I bought the 10’ extension cables thinking that we would have to balance the boat out with the battery in the front but with my gf at the front of the boat, we haven’t had to use the extension cables. If you’re on a dinghy and going out by yourself, the extension cables might not be a bad idea just to even out the weight a bit. Also, we have a custom wooden floor that the guy I bought the dinghy off of had built. Without it, I would be worried about the battery weight on the soft inflatable floor. Battery weights about 50-60lbs and the wooden floor definitely helps distribute the weight. If you don’t have the tools to craft a custom floor for your dinghy, I would recommend at least finding a 3’ x 3’ piece of plywood to help distribute the weight of the battery. Overall, couldn’t be happier with the trolling motor. Beats the hell out of rowing, it’s imperceptibly quiet, and we’ve pulled more trout out of the lake than we could have without it.
