Tough Patio French Door Lock 'Box Section' High Security Deadlock Sliding Fix Bar Seen from Outside and Easy

I recently moved into a flat that has a patio door, and I had planned to purchase a security bar even before moving in. After the move, while comparing different options and checking sizes, I came across this one. This security bar requires no complicated installation. There's no need to drill holes in the door or remove the lock. Once taken out of the box, you simply hook it onto the handles of the door and lock it. It prevents the door from being opened from the outside by turning the handle. Sometimes I forget to lock the door and install this bar, but it would be impossible to open from the outside. Made of sturdy material with good weight, I appreciate the added security it provides to the door. Taking tips from other reviewers, I've also covered the handle with a quilt-made cover before attaching the security bar. This is to prevent any scratches on the handle.

Our patio doors wouldn’t close as the lock was broken. After months of anxiety, I purchased this to keep the house secure. The product is unbelievable simple, but extremely effective and that’s what I love about it. It just works and makes so much sense, while saving a ton of money versus getting a new handle and locking system. I’ve highly recommended this purchase and will continue to do so. It just works and it’s 100% worth every penny you pay. Quality feels really good, it’s unbelievably simple and from what I can make out, seems physically impossible to bypass from the outside unless you were to smash the glass. Even with a working door, I would suggest purchasing one as you’re back door literally becomes impossible to break into. I’ve tried the handles from outside and there is zero play or work arounds. It’s simple and it’s genius. I’m not usually one for reviewing but this product deserves all the praise as it’s just that good!!!

Quick and easy to fit and remove, well constructed with a reasonable quality padlock. Hopefully will never find out how effective they are but give piece of mind and don’t look out of place when fitted.

.... whilst this is undoubtedly a good security addition to any set of french doors, ultimately it's really only as strong as the door handles it is bracing. So it's there to frustrate & delay a would-be burglar, rather than prevent them from entering altogether. Hence the 4 stars. In terms of style & finish, the curved main section looks good across the door handles, and it's also well painted and presented, so it doesn't look like some ugly security add-on either (unlike some of the alternatives). For this reason I'm happy to keep mine sitting across the door handles all the time, as it's unobtrusive. Whilst I thought the curved main section was long enough to extend a little further across each door, on my french doors (Everest ones) it doesn't, so a burglar would not be able to see it's fitted from the outside. Very few downsides to note, except that the supplied chinese padlock is fine but cheap, so you may want to replace it in time with something more branded (e.g. Yale, Abus, etc). Apart from that, and the fact that your door handles will snap off first before this lock gives up, it's a solid and well-priced home security addition. Easy 4 stars though.

I have looked at several different patio door locks but this one appealed to me because of its simplicity. There is nothing to go wrong! It is a really good quality, solid product with an excellent white paint finish. I installed it in seconds and it looks really neat. It came with a good quality padlock too so I didn’t need to buy one separately. It fits really well and I feel very secure. I would recommend this product and the seller to anyone I know, in fact I have already!

Proper robust French door handle immobiliser. No way is anyone forcing your handles with this fitted. Only way to disable it is to break the glass and saw through the lock hasp. Ok a determined thief will know how to smash glass, but I’m guessing most won’t want to do that. And if the door won’t actually open then getting through broken glass has its own dangers. Nothing is burglar proof but this will deter.

Other products are not wide enough for the large gap between my handles but this is wide enough, great product

Excellent product. Very sturdy and strong product and I feel much more secure having this on the patio doors. Would recommend
