That said, my numerous experiments with this machine have not yet led me to figure out how the transcriptions might be editted, although I suspect that I will eventually discover they are saved as .txt files that can be editted after download. My overall early impression of the machine is that it produces surprisingly good audio output, and has numerous possible audio uses; including live music demo recordings, poetry and recordings from the natural world. Oh, and good old-fashioned dictation. It is quite a heavy, but compact unit worth a fairly intuitive GUI and adequate usage notes and brief online tips. The weight indicates to me that the speaker and mono/stereo microphones are of reasonable construction quality. Attractive overall design with a colourful touch screen GUI. Also, ordinary operation buttons. I look forward to doing something creative with this unit, but it is a fairly sophisticated gadget; which means that there is quite a lot to learn about it in the longer term.
