From the fan-favorite Pop Surrealist painter and graphic artist, this coloring book features stunningly beautiful black-and-white images of mermaids and other legendary beasts of the ocean drawn in Camilla d'Errico's signature manga-inspired style. Following the success of her first coloring book, Pop Manga Coloring Book , artist Camilla d'Errico takes fans beneath the waves with 70 black-and-white images of beloved characters from undersea fairy tales and myths in this stunning coloring book. Along with beautiful and haunting images of mermaids, d'Errico also includes many-tentacled krakens, giant seahorses, narwhals, and more in pieces that you'll want to start coloring as soon as you open the book. Select pieces include designed, patterned backgrounds to keep colorists working away hour after hour in this underwater kingdom of cute. Review: Great for Exploring Your Own Style - *** Some of the pictures I am sharing are from pages I've used from her other coloring books. I will be coping and pasting this review to the other books I've bought in her collection. *** I have bought 3 different Camilla d'Errico coloring books and can not say enough how great these are. Her art style is so unique and surprising, and you never know what to expect. They are designed in such a fantastical way that allows you to really use any colors you want. I have been trying to break out of my box of "color rules" and be more creative with my coloring. These books are so perfect to practice in. The pages are good sized and thick, so you never have to worry about bleed through when using ink/paint. They are also very durable so if you need to erase something, you can do so without damaging the paper. For anyone looking for a fun coloring experience, this is totally worth it. Review: Another Beautiful Manga Designs this time with mermaids and more – printed both sides of page - This is my second coloring book by Camilla d’Errico. The coloring book is filled with imaginative and unusual Manga style designs base on the artist original artwork. The main subject are the mermaid girls with their big, pensive eyes. There are other sea creatures, too, sometimes incorporated into the headgear of the girl. As with the first book, many of the images are simply headshots with unusual looks to them (including the unusual headgear.) There are full and partial body designs as well, most of which are printed on one page but some spread across two pages (more so in this book than in the previous one.) The designs and how they are printed are consistent with the first book and met my expectations. The artwork is, once again, unusual and inventive and will make coloring in this book fun. The designs are detailed and some are intricate. Coloring them is definitely akin to coloring artwork rather than simple line drawings. There is also more shading in a few of the designs in this book which border on grayscale. This is what I found in this book 70 pages of imaginative and unusual Manga style mermaid and sea creature designs Printed on both sides of the page Paper is heavy weight, white, slightly rough and non-perforated Glue binding Designs merge into the binding area and a number of them cross over the binding for a two-page design Book can be opened fairly flat but takes some effort and breaks the spine of the book. Alcohol-based markers bleed through the paper. If you use this medium, you will mar the designs on the back of the page with the bleed through. You can minimize the damage to just the back of the page if you use a card stock blotter below your working page. Water-based markers, India ink pens, and gel pens do not bleed through or leave shadows. Some gel pens require additional drying time. Colored pencils work well with this paper. I found that I could layers the same color for deeper pigment or multiple colors and I could blend easily using a blending stick. I tested both oil and wax based pencils. My choice of medium with this book, as with the first by this artist, will be colored pencils.

Love this coloring book...
This pop manga coloring book is wonderful as all of the pop manga coloring books I have ordered in the past. The size of the pages are larger than normal coloring books and the drawings are more lifelike then a regular coloring book. I will continue to order these as long as they make them.

Great Buy
This is the first time I’ve bought a Pop Manga coloring book and I LOVE it! The majority of the other reviews are accurate. Great way to spend some time, beautiful art, the paper is what you’d expect from a coloring book. I won’t deduct a star for it because I know I did not buy a “watercolor” coloring book. If the artist decides to release a one sided book, or something with thicker paper I’d definitely buy it. I do plan on trying out the book with watercolors and gouache but don’t expect the paper to take a lot.

Beautiful unique coloring books with good quality paper! Arrived with small water damage.
I had the Cute and Creepy book years ago and lost it. I absolutely adored the art and I've never seen coloring books like these. They're made out of a similar quality paper as usual adult coloring books but with cute girls instead of the usual uninspired patterned art. I absolutely adore these books!! My one complaint is my Mermaids book arrived with what appears to be previous water damage on the cover that runs about 1/4 up the corner of the book. Thankfully none of the other pages or other book I'd ordered had any damage. I'm just not a huge fan of paying full price for damaged items but I won't be returning it since it's just the cover. Definitely worth the buy overall!!

good paper
i have used watercolor to coloring this page. The paper can take a lot of water and can do color mix pretty good. It did get uneven after the water is dry . But I can still paint on it . I think it will get better after pressed under heavy books for a few days.

Camilla does it again!
I am a huge fan of Camilla d'Errico and have the previous adult colouring book of hers. Again this is truly a fantastic book and i've already been having fun with it. The drawings are beautiful and well designed, couldn't be happier!
