Naloxone can save a life..
As a nurse, I know this a safe, effective, easy to use product that can save a life. Someone in the home is using a transdermal opiate and my concern was that a child or even one of my cats could accidentally ingest an improperly disposed of patch, as kids and pets get into everything! Naloxone will work on dogs and cats too. *Note: If the first dose is allowed to wear off, it is possible and often likely, that the ingested opiate can “take over” again with the same overdose effects. The second dose in this pack can be used, but prompt emergency treatment is always needed. The duration of one effectively administered dose allows approx 20-30 minutes to seek emergency medical attention for the person or pet..☠️

But i feel like this is a good thing to keep around in case of emergency. You never know when you might be in a situation where you can save a life.

You never know when you will get a chance to save a life.
Happy to have this in my mobile first aid kit. I have personally seen this Naloxone bring folks back from the brink and its ease of use makes of compelling case for carrying it. That being said, I hope I never have to administer it. I do wish that the product was more temperature tolerant, especially in motor vehicles, so I keep it in an insulated bag out of the direct sun.
