I brought this because it had a cheap price tag among many. For minimal data transit jobs this pen drive works okay. But when you copy a large file that fills up the drive, you probably need to wait an hour for it to complete. This is not for speed but function alone. The pen drive itself was good quality and strong built. Hard core users might want to look for USB 3.0 compatible drives.

Speed and quality

I was advised by HP to keep a back-up of Windows OS on their laptop HP15-r007TU on a Disc or 32GB Flash drive. This is unethical way of dealing with customers who buy HP Laptops. The Recovery DVD or Flash Drive should have been provided by the manufacturers along with the laptop, as is a long standing practice. Asking customers to make their own arrangements for the same is indicative of cutting corners. In my experience of Dell laptop which I had purchased in 2006 and discarded in 2012, such a situation never came. All the software provided by Dell was backed up by respective CDs and DVDs. The cost of a 32GB Flash Drive - if purchased in bulk quantity - would be equal to a nominal amount and much less than Rs 800. The HP should consider providing the recovery back-up on such Flash Drives and not cut corners. Having stated the reason for purchase, I now say about the device vis Kingston Data Traveller (KDT) SE9 USB 2.0 32GB pen drive. Well I just recorded the recovery data as per HP program, and that is the end of it. Some 17.3GB was the space taken by the recording which went very smooth. Time taken was over 35 minutes. I have previously used 1GB KDT pen drive before. It has so far given me very good service. I have good reason to believe that the 32Gb pen drive will also give me good support. Hope I never have to use the data on this pen drive. I would recommend this to my friends.

I bought 4 different pendrives and transferred files to them to check out their speeds. The results I write below. i) Kingston Data Traveler SE9 16 GB 2.0 has speed around 4.07 Mbps (bought at Rs.460) ii) HP 715 w 16 GB 3.0 has speed around 7.22 Mbps (bought at Rs. 799) iii) Strontium Ammo 8 GB 2.0 has speed around 10.66 Mbps (bought at Rs.378 iv) HP 765 w 16 GB 3.0 has speed around 16.89 Mbps (bought at Rs. 560) Details might vary, but the ratio of their speeds is about 1 : 1.77 : 2.62 : 4.15 With regards to price, Strontium Ammo is the best (cost me Rs.378), while HP 715 w is the worst (cost me Rs. 799)

Beautiful design

I received the product quickly and it was in perfect condition. Works great. Tends to get easily scratched though and it's quite visible because of the silver finish.

Custo benefício total, pendrive de ótima qualidade e resistente para uso moderado, funciona muito bem mas para uso mais constante, deve haver desgaste na carcaça de alumínio e como não tem como reparar ou substituir, a recomendação é para uso mais modesto.

Eins vorweg: Die Lieferung dauerte schon arg lange. Es betrug ca. eine Woche bis der Stick im Haus war, was ziemlich ärgerlich sein kann, wenn man auf diesem Stick für die Schule angewiesen ist (13. Klasse, Abitur). Aber gut, kommen wir zur Bewertung des Produkts. Optisch: Der Stick ist wesentlich kleiner, wie er auf dem Bild erscheint. Er ist nämlich gerade mal 3,8 cm lang (!) und sehr schmal. Der Stick wirkt aber auf keinster Weise bilig, sondern eher durch die überzogene Schicht von Aluminium sehr hochwertig. Somit kommen wir schon zum nächsten Aspekt: die Zuverlässigkeit. Zuverlässigkeit: Durch das Aluminium ist der Stick sehr stabil. Als ich den Stick an meinen Schlüsselanhänger befestigte, gab es keinerlei Abschürfungen oder Kratzer. Es blieb alles makellos! Ein Nachteil könnte jedoch die fehlende Abdeckung des Anschlusses für die Zukunft sein. Deswegen immer achtsam mit ihm umgehen und eventuell ordentlich durchpusten bevor man ihn anschließt. Des Weiteren sitzt der Stick beim Anschließen sehr fest, lässt sich aber auch wieder gut entnehmen. Absolut Top! Technik: Wie wir ja wissen (*hust*), hat der Stick keine tatsächlichen 16 Gigabyte Speicherplatz. Es sind ca. 14,6 GB aber reichen für meine Verhältnisse auf jeden Fall aus. Das Produkt besitzt nur (?!) USB 2.0 und ist dementsprechend langsam (?!), wenn man so manch andere Rezensionen gelesen hat. Ich weiß ja nicht, wofür die anderen Kunden die gesamten 16 GB ausschöpfen aber langsam erscheint mir 2.0 für diese Speicherkapazitätklasse überhaupt nicht. Schließlich sollte man auch den günstigen Preis (8,65€ als ich ihn gekauft habe) des Produkts beachten. Für Hardcoredatentransferier also eher zu USB 3.0 zugreifen! Mein USB Stick Vorgänger war ebenfalls ein Kingston und wurde vor zwei Jahren für 7,50€ erworben. Der Stick hatte lediglich 4 GB Speicherkapazität und ein Plastikgehäuse. Heute zahlt man ca. einen Euro drauf und man bekommt einen Stick mit Alumium überzogen, 16 GB und ein Loch für das Schlüsselbund. Unglaubliche technische sowie preisliche Fortschritte! Fazit: Zusammenfassend kann man also sagen, dass der Kauf dieses Produkts absolut lohnenswert ist. Wer sich die Transferzeit von USB 2.0 bewusst ist und diese auch akzeptiert, kann hier bedenkenlos zuschlagen. Hinzu kommt die hochwertige Verarbeitung sowie das kleine und edle Design. Ein für mich persönlicher Nachteil, ist das Fehlen einer Abdeckung. Aber wer sorgfältig mit seinem Eigentum umgeht, wird auch hier keine Probleme haben. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist ebenfalls klasse!
