Simple and functional 🥰
The media could not be loaded. The quality of screen is good enough, and the best is that the volume is loud that is perfect for watching movies with friends! The interface is so old-fashioned and I love it! Simple to use, no need to read lots of instructions to operate. It can be used as plugged it or not and no internet or app needed, so convenient that I am going to let my child use it 👍🏻The only complaint is the sound of buttons are loud when I press them 😌 but it wont affect any… recommend!

Good device- good value
Good device. While the picture is quite good, it isn't as sharp as a good tv, but I didn't expect it to be, and I am satisfied with it. The speakers have very good volume and dialog clarity. The sound isn't rich, but certainly is fine, and when I plugged in powered computer speakers the sound was very good (and LOTS of volume! I had to turn the volume way low). I'm sure decent corded headphones would also be very good. It works great with fire tv stick! The power switch is, in my opinion and use, somewhat awkwardly placed, but definitely not a deal breaker. When playing dvds with the old picture aspect ratio (old tv shows for instance) the picture is stretched to fit the screen, which is unfortunate. It seems that if the device were connected to a tv, there is a setting so it would display properly, but not when just using this device. (One star off for this -it may not matter or affect you)All in all I am happy with this device.

Good price and picture.
I recently bought this because I had owned a smaller Boifun and while it still works, I needed something a bit larger as I am a senior with dwindling eyesight. I donated that unit to a kid so he could watch movies while travelling. I am happy with this item as the larger screen is great. It has an adapter but also runs on internal batteries when charged. I also like that it has an earphone slot so can hear well enough and it does have closed captioning. I expect this unit will last me along time as the larger screen is just what I needed.

Good for traveling
We bought this Biofun portable DVD player for our cruise trip and I am glad we did! It is light weight and easy to use. Full charge battery is good for 3-4 hours (enough to finish a movie without charging it.) There are USB, SD card, and HDMI ports too. We used the HDMI to connect to the bigger TV screen in our room. It’s nice that it comes with a charger that can plug into the cigarette lighter in the car so we can use on road trips. It is not the best quality, but it is good enough for kids’ entertainment. One thing I want to point out is this DVD player doesn’t support blue ray DVD. I would recommend it to people to use while traveling.

Legit player, a few gotchas
Overall if you want a loud and good looking player this is a solid buy. It does have the Curtis style firmware so all USB stuff pops up in a single folder. It also does ac3 in avi which alot of other off brands dont so. It does play all region DVDs. It also accepts 1080p HDMI input and downscale it to a native resolution. It does have some flaws though: there is no zoom function, there is no source select on the remote, jpegs downscaled are fuzzy, and it has no 4:3 pillarboxing (most current day players don't though). Using as a portable monitor for consoles or players is fine as they have a set resolution list. Using for a PC though is limited as it doesnt report supported resolutions so your stuck with whatever you desktop defaults to.

Boifun's 15.7" DVD Player with 14.1" screen
The media could not be loaded. After experimenting with Boifun’s BFN-144 DVD Player for several days, I discovered that the unit has more capability than I expected.Using the headphone jack and the supplied AV cable, I was able to connect a pair of external speakers and a television. To connect the unit to a computer monitor, I used the supplied AV cable, along with an inexpensive AV-to-HDMI converter.Through the BFN-144’s USB port, I was able to load a 32gb Thumb Drive and play various MPG and FLV movies and video clips from the Thumb Drive.I had equally good results when I loaded a 32gb SD Card. When I had the DVD Tray, the Thumb Drive, and the SD Card loaded at the same time, the full featured remote control was particularly useful. The remote’s source selector button navigated seamlessly between the three sources, and the remote’s numbered buttons enabled me to jump quickly from one menu selection to the next on each removable device. The BFN-144’s HDMI-in port allowed me to connect it to a laptop, so that the BFN-144’s screen served as an extended monitor for the laptop. On the BFN-144’s screen, I could check email, or watch a movie, while opening other apps on the laptop’s screen. In every situation, the BFN-144 performed extremely well, with very clear screen resolution, user friendly controls, and good sound quality, from the internal speakers as well as from external speakers.

Small problem, but still worth the money.
Very enjoyable to see the old dvds I have. Good sound, good picture, good battery life. Small complaint I have is the remote control. Mostly doesn’t work and the only button that works is the power which only advances chapters. So….. same as not having a remote included.
