blue black with purple glitter gel colour by OPI
I want to write a review that clearly describes the colour rather than explain whether I like it or not (I do). From the other reviews and the product description, it was hard to tell what I was buying until I actually had it in my hands. It's a dark blue, deep like an indigo, like maybe the deepest blue you'd see in a denim. It has a very fine glitter in it that is a bright purple or cerise/violet colour as well as a blue. The glitter is fine enough that it doesn't make it hard to take off like some glitter polishes. Because of the blue/purple glitter against the dark blue pigment of the gel base colour, the effect is of a deep purple/blue when it's seen in light, and from a distance it's more of a dark blue-black.Because it's a gel colour, it's very sturdy and stands up to most abuse. I get about two weeks out of it before it starts to get scratched up and chip a bit and I wind up needing to reapply it.

Beautiful Color and Fast Shipping.
I just started using GelColors because I was always hesitant to "ruin" my nails. I have quickly learned from my nail lady that this is not the case anymore. The nail salon I use has several GelColors, however, I am pretty sure I have used them ALL, therefore I get bored of the colors. This color "Hello Hawaii Ya" is pretty darn cute. The shipping was super fast! I thought I was going to get it tomorrow, 04/29/16, and was disappointed because I had a nail appointment on Tuesday, 04/26/16. To my happy surprise, I received it on Monday, 04/25/16 and was ecstatic. The top plastic colors for the GelColors can sometimes be misleading, however, the colors are pretty well matched and I am happy that I made this purchase. Now to find another color to buy :)

The gel color that got me started
This was my first Opi gel color, & Amazon has it to thank for my many, many orders since. Of all the gel brands out there, I like Opi the best. With a little practice, you can build thin layers that stay on for weeks--I always use 3 layers of color, i.e, a coat of base, 3 coats of color, the top coat. The thing I love, love, love about Opi Ink is a fine sparkle down in the cured color--it has depth, an almost 3D effect, when you look at your nails in daylight. Of course, in all lights, you get the iconic dark, dark purple-blue that is Ink. This of one of the colors (in polish & gel) that has made Opi who they are today, top quality & ahead of the curve. Me, I come back to Ink over & over, no matter what new color or effect I try.

Just Lanai-ing around
This is a great polish. I love OPI GelColor, but sometimes it will pull away from the free edge while curing. This one didnt do that and has beautiful ppigmentation and coverage with each coat. Great formula, but the color isn't what I anticipated. It is beautiful and perfect for fall, but I was anticipating a more rosy color. It is a dirty mauve plum color. I will be getting a lot of wear out of it, but my search for a perfect rose gel continues.

Just ok
I'm kind of bummed that I spent over $15 on this polish. The color doesn't look like I thought it would based on the pic. It's ok, just not what I was looking for right now Seems like more of a fall-ish color to me. It's a rosey mauve with a hint of brown tint to it. It went on nice and smooth and cured great... and it's very shiny... but I'm only on the 2nd day and I already have a small chip on 1 nail.
